TT on a Roadster
haven't check the thread in awhile. thanks for the input fellaz... as for the GTR, if it's 85k, I'm giving up on it. 70k was pushing it and no way I can afford an 85k car. I can build up a beefy roadster for 65kish. vq35 is not really a good engine format for heavy HP but if I can reach 700whp, I'd be happy.
Just talked to mike from VRT. He says I'll get some chassis twisting with that much HP. A rollcage would make it not ZR anymore
gotta rethink... maybe get a 08 coupe or something.. shiat..

The roadster is about 1000 lbs heavier than the coup
Very soon there will be a black roadster, with a fully rebuilt power house, Twins and a plug & play, swappable programmable stand-alone EMS, on the Connecticut highways; 550/600 rwhp on pump gas and 700/750 rwhp on racing fuel.
No not mine, as I have a coup

As for that power level, I am pushing that myself (+ some) with my recent tune by Sharif. You might see my car anywhere from FL to Maine... depending on the week, event or Rally. I have been known to drive mine cross country just for kicks too..

We weighed mine in at 3,800 lbs at MIR and I have a BOAT LOAD of custom ice, vertical doors, custom fiberglass, bodykit and cooling modifications along with the Greddy TT setup. It is by no means stock and yet it still only weighed about 400 lbs more then the '04 coupe

You're right, it is about 100 to 300 lbs more, the weight difference, depending on the model. Somehow the extra zeros found their way in; I wish they'd accidentally add some extra zeros into my pay check
You might be interested that this engine I am referring to can go much higher than 550/700 rwhp if he wanted to, but he would have to stiffen the chassis and a roll bar; or drop it into a coup with a six point cage.
On our roads up here on the NE, 400 to 500 rwhp is ample.

LOLYes, that next thing I am working on is Chassis strengthening, bracing and suspension tuning. I am still working on putting a roll cage in the car. I know it can be done (and still allow use of the Top), just gonna take some creative thought. And yes you can put more power out on these fully built engines. but it takes time to work out the handling problems each step of the way. We will most likely go higher. But need to get this current power under control first, then step up again.

for the Record ... Roadsters (stock) only weigh about 200 pounds more than the coupe. Brent's (BamBam) ZR weighs about 500+ pounds more because it's loaded with upgrades which he already listed.
edit: nm ... typo ... I thought you were being serious.
