Default UTEC or wait?

RAWR.....

Well I'm in Hawaii and we don't have anywhere to open a FI Z up really and no race track to race on. I have a TN ST kit and a few goodies. The car is running fine but I want more. The next step I would think is to tune the Z properly and add a Fuel return system since adding power later will require these modifications anyway. It will be about 17 months before I get back to Georgia so the question is.....

Should I just wait on more options for the Z in the future or just get a UTEC, Fuel return kit and attempt to find someone in Hawaii to Tune meh Z?

Does anyone think the AEM will be the new tunning preference?

Motor build is planned when I move back to Georgia. The next 17 months of Modding is what I'm trying to plan.

Wow, how much does it cost to ship a car from hawaii, would it be cheaper to part out and sell, then start over? I would buy a UTEC now though to answer your question.

Military= Free ship of car.
If I was a civilian would cost about 1600.00 (to Florida) or 800.00 (estimates) to LA and drive cross country.

There are a few good tuners in Hawaii...so I have heard. I am sure if you can ask around, you'll mind someone. The islands have some really nice cars.

The UTEC and return fuel system can probably hold you over, until you come back to GA. Best of luck.

if you wait on the AEM, you'll be waiting forever... might as well call it vaporware.

I was going to say that I'm sure Sharif wouldn't mind a Hawaiian vacation (Sponsored by redline350ZZ )

We are working on making the AEM Standalone unit work with the 350Z/G35 ECU. As soon as everything gets sorted out we will post additional info with pricing, also working on a MoTeC unit for our cars. So promising stuff will be happening soon!

It's in the '07 defense bill. But the thing is you can only ship two back if you shipped two there. I didnt see any limitations as to locations. I was just glad when I read it cause I have three cars. So thats one less I have to get rid of if I go over seas.
