Default Who plans on still driving their FI Z in the winter?

Waiting for the smartass cali & Florida guys to respond. Anyways, I'm still driving my Z as the weather is already dipping into the 30's at night here in Chicago. Anyone else drive their car in the winter? I will probably drive the car on and off this winter except when it snows..... Anyone else? Any tips from the FI veterans?

to be honest with you.. i will be driving it everyday that it doesn't snow.. or have salt/snow on the ground... i had to move my car one day when it snowed so they could plow the street and it wasn't a pretty sight.. though i park on an incline

In the winter, Yes. In the snow, No. That's what the Explorer is for.

Driving a Z in the winter is just liking driving any other sports car. Personally, I would drive it everyday, unless its snowy or icy. Just use some common sense, and good judgement, and you'll be fine.

You can count on me being out there, whenever the weather is fine, no snow, no ice; I just love to be out there on a dry, cold, crispy sunny day.

if theres any hint of snow, rain, salt, or other conditions that will accelerate wear on the car - its time for the 4x4 S10.

Man It must suck to have the car sit there all winter.

I only drive mine on weekends and it kills me.

Well, I am in northern VA and I will be driving the car. It is my true daily driver so I'll just slap on some snow tires and drive off everyday

Same for me. I leave it in my parents garage in PA. I won't drive it again after this weekend when I clean it up for good. Its getting colder and colder each weekend and I'm not gonna be out there in the snow anymore trying to unfreeze my hose in a small busket of water so I can get all the salt off in the winter and jacking up the car, ripping the wheels off to clean the insides. I did it the last 2 winters. Do you realize how much it sucks cracking the ice in a hose the whole length?
F THAT!

I will drive mine all winter. It's the best and only good time to drive it here. Even now, it's still hot. We were at the drag strip yesterday and it was 92 degrees in the sun.

Do you notice a considerable performance gain when the temps drop that low?
