Who plans on still driving their FI Z in the winter?
Colorado Springs, and I will continue to drive my G coupe throughout the winter. We get a decent amount of snow here, nothing like North Dakota or some crazy place like that, but enough.
The key, I have found, is performance snow tires. Not snow studs or anything like that, just performance snow. The big difference is that the rubber in them is formulated to still remain soft even at cold temps, unlike all season or summer tires, which become rock hard and slippery when the temps drop.
The other key is good insurance so when the idiot in the 4wd truck with summer tires barrels into you because he thinks 4wd equals better braking power, you are able to get your car fixed at little cost.
Oh, and my G is in the process of getting a turbo kit on it right now.

This will be my 3rd winter in the Z, 2nd winter TT'ed. The key, indeed, is the tires, I am using Pirelli Snowsports. Worked great. Year before I used Conti Extreme Contact A/S. Not as good, but very acceptable. And yes, the car is quicker in the cold, no doubt.
ME!!!!
I personally can't wait for a great tune and some cooler weather!!! Subtle hint, stemming from my growing anticipation!!!! I just wish the car was done, for yet another great tune.

my new wheels and tires aren't on yet. I'm driving like a grandma due to the fact that I'm on BALD stock tires. Really not safe in the cold, So I can't really say that I've noticed performance gains.

Last winter while my G was in the shop getting the twins slapped on, I drove a friend's modded '04 Cobra around in the rain/snow. Twitchy isn't the word.... This year I've got my beater to abuse during the winter
. The G will get a chance to breathe on "nice" days.
