Correct My averge trap was 116 with the UTEC, my highest trap with the FCON is 121. With these street tires every pass seem to be diffrent as far as traction is concern, so traps are going to very.

Get some sticky tires, youll see a 11.5-11.9 pass with a good launch..We were running 445 DJ STD WHP on our stock motor Z with the old Unichip and would see 12.1-11.9' on stree tires, then go to 11.4-11.6's with DR's and a 1.7-1.8 60's..Our traps were always in the 119-122 range with that HP..Keep at it, the 1/4 mile is HARD to master..

The temperature difference you note is unimportant. The DynoDynamics takes into account temp and pressure when making hp calculations. The DynoDynamics spits out temp and pressure corrected numbers. This was the same dyno or was the previous dyno @ CP Racing?

This was done on the same dyno at ForgedPerfomance "The Heart Breaker". Maybe Sharif can chime in about this, to explain it better.

The slightly lower power is due to two things.

1) Aftermarket wheels/tires vs. the 17 inch skiny stockers used on the prior tuning session

2) I reviewed the logs, and the inlet probe was touching a hotter surface, and added about 4-5% more to his previous number.

All and all, Eagle's engine probably made the same power with the UTEC and the FCON....but the driving results and experience is much better now.

Thanks for the explanation, Sharif.

A five mile an hour increase in trap speed is an amazing increase.

Not fair to compare avg of UTEC to best of the FCON. Eagle-what were your best traps for both units?

I did trap 119 once on the UTEC after that the best trap I saw was 116. With the FCON I have seen 121 at 50degrees once, and have been averaging around 118 to 119 in 66 to 72 degrees.

Also, what is the stickiest tire you can get away with on the street? I don't mean what will pass inspection or a look see from a cop, but what tire is ok to drive on the highway, and also net low low 60' times?

@Eagle - Congrats and seriously amazing numbers!

Shouldnt make that big of a difference, a few HP at best but the unsprung weight of the 19's will really come into play from a dead stop, like at the track..It will shave off speed and et from the weight and the loss of HP from spinning the extra weight..Another thing to consider when looking at trap speeds, is the 60ft and traction off the line..Some times I run faster ET's with lower traps, lower by like 3-5 MPH..You can achieve a higher Trap speed by spinning off the line..A good comparison, it to observe the old domestic cars run. They leave the line with 1.50 60 fts and run 10.70-10.90's with a 120-123 trap. The gearing and traction on those cars is dialed in to go from A to B as fast as possible..In my car Ill trap 126-128 and run 11.6-11.9's..

I know about that darn Temp probe jacking numbers up, happened to me..
Another thing to check is make sure the barometer readings were consistant, we experienced some weird stuff with a low pressure barometer reading..The temp corrections should hover in the area of .9's and 1.1's during extreme variances in ambient tempuratures...So make sure you look at the Atmoshperic correction values on the DD from the previous #'s to the last #'s..We found that a dead battery in the weather station would make a 70whp difference

I agree....However for the price difference, a properly tuned UTEC with all load points carefully tuned on a load based dyno, would be comparable to the tune achived from the much more expensive FCON. The Comarison I would make is if the UTEC were a Mercedes Benz, the FCON would be a Bently...They both achieve getting the owner from A to B, but its how you get there.. If you have the money to drop, the FCON is a better unit. However the UTEC's resolution is only limited by the type of interface it uses, HYPERTERMINAL...In the new version of windows based software the UTEC will have better resolution, more features, and better GUI..These additions IMO will puyt it right on par with the big boys for half the money..

I am also interested to see when this new software is going to be released, or is it already available?
