Default ForgedPerformance Tuned FCON Stock block

I recently had my UTEC swapped for a FCON PRO. All I can say is WOW! You cannot even compare it to a UTEC. It is just incredible. Sharif did some incredible wonders in the time he took to tune it. Long story short I had to drive to ATL from NC and back in 24hrs with the car tuned. I am taking the car back next weekend and leave it with Sharif so he can have his way with her. Ok now for the performance. When he tuned my car with the UTEC @11.5 the car put down 467@ the wheels. The best I could run was 12.49@119 with 275 toyos. With the FCON with at least 20 degree cooler weather the car put down 443@ the wheels?? The UTEC tune was done on stock 17's. Weather has been bad for the track until last night and today. Last night I trapped 121mph but could not get any traction so I will not post any E.T's for last night. Today with a 15knot head wind with gust to 18. I managed a best of 12.29@119.5 60ft 2.081 on 275 19 toyos with 24lbs of air. This is with wheel spin on the top of first and short shifting to second. I have no idea what I did with that time slip but heres the one right before that pass. Now if I can only get Alberto to loan my cheap A$$ his drag wheels.. IMO if you can afford the FCON it worth every penny. Sharif thanks for staying till 1am getting my car tuned, promise next time I'll leave it for a while. This is on the crapiest track in NC.

The only thing I have lost is the Cruise, but how it drives is unreal. You have had to owned a Greddy EU, UTEC, to see what I am talking about. Greddy EU I cant belive I had that thing run my car.

Very nice-that is some damn good trap speed, mid 11's with slicks. Get yourself a set of race wheels/tires! Best $500 you'll spend on your car.

to make the cruise control work just disable accelerator position enrichment, the tps sensor works fine.

You want DR's or slicks? For slicks Id go as small as possible, 15's if you dont have Brembo's 16's if you do, that way you have more sidewall. If you want DR's do a set of 17x9's with a 275-295 on them.

I don't understand your reasoning?

It looks like the FCON made 24 horsepower LESS when it was 20 degrees cooler. Why do you say the FCON is better than the UTEC?

What am I missing?

Drivability and potentially the curve has dramatically improved. I also think the tune was cut short due to the time constraints.

Wait, what's the difference between slicks and drag radials?

Also, what is the stickiest tire you can get away with on the street? I don't mean what will pass inspection or a look see from a cop, but what tire is ok to drive on the highway, and also net low low 60' times?

@Eagle - Congrats and seriously amazing numbers!

True! Aslo I had 17" wheels with the UTEC and we also noticed that the air intake temp was alot higher (probe touching something hot) witch we believe combined with the wheel diameter gave us a higher reading with the UTEC.

I think I am going with the 17x9 with dr's. Then go from there.

Eagle, when you bring your car back, I will make a wiring modification to retain use of the cruise control. Traction control works just fine right now.

When Eagle was tuned with the UTEC, he had stock wheels. We have done a couple of tests, and heavier wheels result in less power to the rollers. So basically, my guess is that eagle's power output was roughly the same, when compared to his UTEC numbers.

The point Eagle is trying to make, is that the smoothless and precision of the FCON, is allowing him to make higher speed passes at the track. You have to drive them before and after to truly appreciate the difference. I am sure Eagle can better describe his first test drive the FCON...even though the engine was making the same peak power as the UTEC.

Eagle, didnt you say that your old trap speed was 116mph?? And now with the FCON the max was 121mph? Maybe I misheard you.

Also congrats.
