Ya...noticable quicker on the dyno...on the road, response in IMMEDIATE. I've driven evos, stis, mazdaspeed6's, and a few others, and the response I'm getting out of this set up is beyond anything I have driven...

After seeing and hearing wtk's car in person....I don't know how much longer I can hold off from going FI.

First, his car just looks really clean, not just clean not dirty, but clean! The wheels match his car well and the APS install along with gauges are all just quality to a Tee.

His car definetly sounds like a beast with the cutouts open.

He pulled away from me so fast and easily...i felt like I was driving a flintstone car....and from my vantage point it appeared like he walked a c5 vette pretty good...but that 240 was ridiculus!!!

Also, he seems like a real nice guy and I definetly didn't pick up on any attitude.....

Anyway, if you get a chance wtk, pm the info about the VQ meets once a month!

Backpressure is never a good thing - ever. On an NA car, cylinder scavenging is a good thing, and to aid in this you need a certain exhaust velocity. Higher exhaust velocity is achieved via properly sizing the primaries and to a lesser extent, the rest of the exhaust. Properly sized primaries have the UNDESIREABLE effect of also inducing backpressure when they are sized properly for cylinder scavenging, unfortunately that's just how it works.

On a turbo car, there is no such thing as too large an exhaust downstream of the turbine - the pressure difference between upstream and downstream is what imparts energy to the turbo. Less pressure downstream always means more energy to do work on the turbine. You can't go too large - but you can get into the realm of diminishing returns where going larger doesn't gain you anything. But it'll never lose you anything in terms of power.

HEHEHEHEHE...that poor old vette : ) I was toying with him....started pulling easy at only about 85% throttle ...that thing is sposed to be really fast too....And, ya, and the 240 is rumorred to trap 125+, so the fact that he only pulled a nose on me up to a little over 100 when I let off made me smile : ) ...we'll save it for the track...
