Question Vortech Question

Can anyone tell me how many hours it takes to UNINSTAL a Vortech S/C kit? I just got a quote for $850 and i felt it was a little high to take out a S/C. Thats approximately 10 hours of labor, i was thinking it would take 4 or 5 hours. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

That seems about right to do a clean un-intall. The oil pan will need to be plugged/welded. I've seen some cars have had "quick" un-intalls that have looked pretty bad w/ leaks, others with proper un-insalls where its extremely hard to know a kit was every on the car.

Hope this helps,

Take it to the place you got it installed. They probably could do it in half the time since they know what to do.

Bout 5 hours for a kick a$$ clean job----Iv done it----Plug the crankcase with a brass plug sealed with teflon paste sealer. And the biggest time consumer is de soldering the Piggy back and re soldering it back.NOOOOOOO Crimp fittings !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
