well... that is what it looked like and then sharif explained things right...
ANyways tref, you said other shops hav ementioend you that its probably the utec, which i highly doubt... have you asked them if it coudl be any better(with the same amount of tunning hours you have put to the utec) with another system? (emu, ssb, uni, fcon cz)

Here we go again "highly doubting" again....SGP Racing & Forged both tuned my car each time with the UTEC, it shutters and ran like sh*t under partial throttle each time and never felt smooth and you could feel the spike/bump each time when boost would get to 1-2psi. Sharif knows what he's doing and I sure as sh*t know that SGP knows their stuff too. But please feel free to call either one of the 2 guys and give them your advice and opinion hw to make things work better

Are you asking if the other shops have mentioned that the tune would be better, smoother, and less bumpy with another system except the UTEC? Absolutely yes, that's why I got the VPRO

Come to think of it my Emanage Ultimate did run smoother than the UTEC even though it has less control features and functions.

Thanks for the clearing this up, trefling.

The fact is, the FCON is vastly superior to the "current" UTEC, and you pay for what you get. The FCON is a high res full standalone, and delivers a perfect tune every single time...no excuses or compromises, and total control over every engine parameter you can think of. So at this point, you can't really compare the two, since they are in a completely different category.

That said, not everyone has access to, or the budget to do the FCON VPro. The UTEC is the next best thing, and it does work very well too....especially at moderate boost.

yah i guess where i am getting at is that no one can dispute the FCON Vpro, so there judgemnt should be on the utec vs the other systems other than the VPRO, thats why didn't list the VPRO. i listed the fcon CZ and others....

I guess bottom line the talk is pointless... you shoudl jsut go with waht the shop is fully confortable tunning...

nice dude, good numbers.... one thing though.. usign the FCON over the utec shoudl not be with the intent to make more WHP....but rather the "feel" drivability, etc..

not at all, but the guy is running 12psi on a stock block safely, tuned in perfect, you just gotta feel the fcon to appreciate it, youll actually quit worrying about your car going kaboom, and just drive it like its factory, i had the emanage for a few weeks and hated it, switched to a Fcon, night and day.....ive been running the fcon so long, to me my Z is no longer a FI Z, its just a Z, i dont worry about anything, i dont listen anymore for any ticking or detonation, i just drive it like i stole it, and go and get ice cream, thats how you want your Z to be, all moded out, with no worries, i could sell my Z tomorrow and have nothing but good things to say about it, over the few years i have been on here, i have heard alot of horror stories, im glad i laid down the cash and did it right, especially now that everyone is catching on to the Fcon, i feel kind of special. At first i thought i was way to much money, but i always trust Jotech with my cars and my money. I have never had so much fun with a car, than my 350z. Now if i had some other EMS, i bet i would have gone kaboom a long time ago..

Thanks for the props Joey. I'm sure the other ems systems will work but i just want to clarify that going with the Fcon isnt an overkill just like going with an Ats clutch. Why not get the best now so that you wouldnt have to do it later on when you do decide to make the big numbers.
