Race exhaust?

Anybody running open exhausts on turbo'd Z's (IE no exhaust system)?
Dump tubes from the turbo's back or anything like that? (Not 3" exhausts w/ the mufflers & resinators)
Obviously I know it'll be pretty darn loud, but I was curious if it will be substantially louder than open wastegates. I'm going to be either A) just having 3.5" turbo back tubes fabbed up to dump directly to the ground, or B) I'm also considering putting in a 3.5" in/out race muffler to help quiet it down *somewhat*.
Any ideas/experiences with power gains for turbo'd cars with no exhaust?
I currently have the stock exhaust w/ test pipes on my car and am trying to get a feel for power gains possible with elminating that bottle neck as I'm finally going to go return fuel sys & larger injectors plus upping the boost to 10psi.

it's loud and sounds like complete *** without a resonator/muffler in there somewhere. I cranked the car up with the exhaust disconnected and MY GOD IT WAS LOUD AND CRAPPY SOUNDING!
i have my mufflers off right now, and turned the car on with just the resonators. it was absolutely demonic sounding and actually pounded my chest inside the car, even worse outside. wicked for a race car, pulled over in a jiffy on the street!

I'm going to try at looking at the length available from the turbo flanges to the end of the undercarage before the exhaust pipes normally start moving toward the rear of the car. Hopefully I can stuff 2 6" round vibrant mufflers with 3" in/out and 17" length, or a magnaflow 6" round race muffler w/ 3.5" in/out and 12" length. If neither will work, it'll just be open dump pipes
