I say HKS. I'd had RC's and although they get the job done I've been told their spray pattern sucks. AT WOT it doesn't really matter, but at idle the spray pattern isn't the greatest which could leave you with a chitty idle as I had. Beside having a better idle with the HKS injectors my car in general is all around smoother now. I'd spend the extra $400 and get the HKS injectors If I were you.

This is the first car I go so crazy modding, but it won't be the last. The next car I move on to everything will be top of the line and HKS will be high on the list. I don't care about price anymore, because in the end going with the less expensive chit ended up costing me more than if I just bought the best from the begining.

After I told him RC's he told me that if really want to get the car re-tuned to an almost perfect OEM feel that I should change out injectors because the RC's spray pattern isn't very good. I don't doubt your car idle fines, but again my car idled like a POS with the RC's. That's no longer the case with the HKS injectors though.

Im glad your happy with your tune/injectors now, Im certainly not bashing HKS injectors I just think your issue isnt something most of us will experience.
I'm sure your's are working great, but I can only speak from my experience. As far as it being a specific issue with my car, I think it was a specifi issue with the injectors cause when the injectors where changed out the problem was fixed. Maybe I did have a clogged injector who knows. One other thing to consider is that with the RC's Sam has never been able to get both banks to read the same a/f ratios. They are always off by a few tenths. When Sam tunes he tunes off of both banks. When he's tuned cars with the RC's he says that one bank may be reading 14.7 and the other bank might read somthing like 15.1. With the HKS injectors both banks read the same a/f.
If I had the $$$ I would have gone with the HKS as well trust me, I wasnt trying to cut corners but I put my faith in RC and so far so good. Im really looking forward to you doing a race gas map and trying to max out the 18G's in the Greddy kit. Your gonna run out of fuel system I think before you hit the "max" but I will likely be doing that and will be watching for your results. Sam or Sharif tuning your car this time?

The HKS injectors are super high quality, no doubt about it. I am running RC 1000CC low impedence injectors on my current setup, and they idle, start, and tune perfectly. We've sold about 500 RC injectors...easily...and have had reports of about 3-4 bad ones...for a pretty low failure rate. Nearly all of them were caught during initial leak testing.
I really like the HKS injectors...cost is the only drawback. Also, the HKS injectors required one of three possible modifications, in order to get them to fit our cars.
Response, and control is a function of the EMS and the tuner...not the injector. Spray pattern is a result of the injector, but I have seen no data that shows me how the HKS spray pattern compares to the RC spray pattern.
Because both are working well for us, I usually leave it up to the customer, and their budget, to determine which injector to use.
One last point. You need an EMS that can control a low impedence injector, such as an AEM, FCON, or Marelli.

I like Deatschwroks injectors, supposedly the difference is less than 1 or 2" (cant remember) flow rate within injectors, slightly better than RC. I know many that run them with no issues and cost is great. Only problem is they dont make them larger than 550cc.
