The stock one that comes with the aps extreme kit. It is working very well from what we have seen.

 

I don't know anything about the VB mod sharif does/has access to, but I can say that I know level 10 to be utter crap. I have seen more problems with Level 10 products than I can count. I'd say try sharif's suggestion, it can't be any worse than the Level 10 stuff I've seen, and I bet it's far better.

 

My tranny is still running off of Sharif's VB upgrade. It's only been about 10k miles but is still shifts hard and clean under WOT. I'm getting the occasional slippage while cruising around though. I'm going to need those clutchpacks soon.

 

What modifications/removal of the bumper brace, etc., were made to make this kit fit?

just wondering.. what do you mean by not shifting on auto when in high boost?
Is it when auto mode and the rev goes too fast because of boost and then it just redlines? what is the remedy for this if that is the case? Or were you talking about when in manual mode? What is the reason for this? is it the ECU>? Tuning? hmmm

 

The FP VB upgrade is excellent. Much faster and firmer shifts; I wish I had gotten it sooner.

Ozzie, any more info or resource to get info on the different stage trannies? I know some of us would love to get some more info.

VB works great and shifts way better !!! I am sure its better than level 10.... From what i hear, level 10 is only good for mitsubishi eclipse. ...... I will get vids up of sharifs vb shifting in my car in two weeks once i get my car from ATL.........Sharif's VB also chirps from 2nd to 3rg gear and try to chirp from 3rd to 4th.......... best mod for the 5at IMHO

 

We just did a little cutting around were the intercooler is at. But some people want it off.

It just over loads it and doesn't let it shift. More than likely because not enough line pressure. The other tranny's that we are testing are with cryo hard parts and good clutch packs. I have not tried them on the car yet though. As soon as this one blows up, we will see what the others will do. Hopefully they will take high boost like the old supras.

 

about time someone come out with an upgraded tranny any release dates and prizes.

 

With a well built auto the car will be crazy fast on high boost.

Level 10 told me they garauntee their fully built trans to 750.... But, ozzie and hpp know their sh!te! Trust me those hpp trans will be tough as nails.

im looking at the numbers from the aps kit, and not trying to hate on APS, but i dont see a big improvement from a greddy, im making 453 rwhp @8.5psi

is this kit for built motors mostly?? I dont see that much of a difference between the stock APS kit, maybe im reading wrong
