Hey guys i just installed my Vortech SC today and was wondering if there is anyway to clock the turbo? Reason i say is the drive belt is pretty close to the supercharger and want to clock it down some to have a better clearance and so i can remove the belt later someday.... Also what is the recommended step to tighten the cog belt? Ive searched but found little info on belt tightening...I think i have to too tight because it whines really loud....haha but who knows from what i hear clunking, whining, and rattling are all normal symptoms. Ohh yah I dunno if this matters though but on my S/C it says V1 instead of the V2 SQ i usually see....Is there a difference?

 

on my s/c it says V2, btw u tuned ur z or still running on vortech's factory tune?

 

Did you buy the kit NEW ? It shouldnt be whinning that loud , sounds like you may not have it put together right and the belt maybe rubbing on something . I beleive you can clock the SC head on the gear box , but you would have to make different IC pipe

I bought my kit used so that could explain a few things...Well i got the thing to run quieter now that i adjusted it with less tension and i also put on the filter this time....Anyone want to share me there stock maps so i can get an comparison when i hook up the r4 to the box? I will get pics up and hopefully a video so i can let you guys know how it runs...
