Default TN Compressor Discharge leak...Help Pls!!!

I've had my TN kit in my daily driver for close to about 9-10 months now with no problems until now. I'm sure its minor - but I need advice on how to fix it if anyone else has come accross it. Normally my vac shows ~20-~22 but I noticed yesterday that it was showing 18-19. When I got home from work I checked all the connections and noticed that the rubber coupling from the turbo compressor discharge outlet to the pipe leading to the intercooler was rubbing on the frame that runs allong the outside of the car parrallell to the driver side headlight. It looks like that support has started to rub through. Has anyone else had that problem? I know I'm going to need to order anther coupler, but has anyone had to trim that support...or at least had any luck trying to bend it away from the compressor?

Thanks

-Blaise

it's not really any sort of structural support. I took a dremel and cut mine pretty much out. I've got to go back and finely cut it, but yeah, I did it, and my coupler finally stopped popping off the compressor outlet, haha.

^^^I also had to do mine due to installation difficulty. It's so tight there anyway. Good luck with the fix.

Thanks guys! I'll cut some breathing room. I just wanted to make sure that it was cool to do.

As always - I appreciate the help.

Keep in mind the warranty covers the couplers too! Call up customer support at 805-581-0333 and they will send you a new one.

It seems I'm the only one that hasn't had an issue with it rubbing. I'll double check it the next chance I get.

Just got off the phone with them. Their sending the part under warranty. They were EXTREMELY easy to deal with. Top notch customer service.

For whatever it's worth, I thought I was gonna have to cut that brace as well. Turns out (forgive me if this is old news!) Loosen those nuts where the polished compressor meets a gold ring and turn the turbo out of harms way.

i believe that's called "reclocking" the turbo.
