I was just cleaning up some of my tools today from working on the motor when I asked myself...Do I keep entirely too many tools in my car at all times?...and yes, these tools are in my car 24/7 unless I'm using them pretty much...

And a couple of pictures of the new motor...
Here it is when it first arrived last Wed.

Here it is as it sits right now

I got a great engine...don't need to collar the crank as it is a good one

Hehe. Looks like my motor when i first got it. Now it's in a million little pieces at the machine shop.
002-M-P. How were the compression/leakdown results? Are you tearing it apart for a rebuild? I just stopped by to the machine shop today after everything has already been dissasembled, decked, bored, cleaned, and mic-ed.
I was very pleased..My shop found absolutely no problem with my motor(it was in great condition) except the exhaust valve guides have been stretched and there's alot of play. I'd recommend you'd check that out if you rebuild yours.
BTW: How the hell did you manage to remove that crank pulley bolt. My air artillery and my breaker bar didn't do the trick. I locked it at the flywheel too.

LOL...well my flywheel stop from my RX7 worked, 30mm nut, breaker bar seen in top picture, my weight (only like 160) standing on it and bouncing. I was luck I had it still on the pallet cause I just strapped it down to it so it wouldn't rotate.

My machinist confirmed my headgasket was indeed the result of my leak.LOL I had to take my block and head apart before taking it over to the machine shop. Extremely heavy.
I can't lie, I have a little motor knowledge envy. Some of you guys know more about an engine than I can even begin to phathom. Oh well, I will just keep pluggin' away and trying to pick up knowledge in bits and pieces.

Thanks for all of the support everyone, I will probably be making a more dedicated thread once I get everything going more (I haven't even had the motor a week yet, lol).
I would like to in the future, but for now I will be running the Power FC D-Jetro with the FC-Datalogit due to everything else with this motor costing alot. Plus I am familiar with this ecu setup and can get a pretty good rough tune myself. But speaking of tuning, do you have any experience with the Power FC?

They are both planning on running a Apexi Power FC. I tried to talk them into an Fcon V Pro (as there are Fcon S units avail
) or an AEM EMS but they are both set in their ways
The Power FC should do the job. Especially with the tuning softwatre they found. Although I still say AEM EMS dammit!!!
