Are there going to be any replacement options for current stage 1 kit owners.

What I mean is the turbine housing and the compressor housing are slightly different. Don't know for sure if it will be a simple pop and swap. I plan on finding out myself very soon though

Nice let us know, this is something I'm very interested in very soon. Especially if it ends up being a simple "pop and swap"

it will be at least a 3.5" down pipe. You could sell your current turbo and get a newer bigger turbo and a 3.5" down pipe made and make more horsepower or wait and blow your wad on a stage "2".... The current kit is limited by a 2.5" down pipe, wich is very much bad for a 3.5L engine that flows like a v8...

Well how much could I get for a brand new 60-1 turbo? The 3.5" dp will help it spool better right. Does TN make a pipe like this or will I have to have it made.

60-1 / Stage 5 turbo goes for ~$1400-1700. Turbonetics does not currently have a 3.5" downpipe available for the Z.

I spoke with Steve @ TN a couple of weeks ago regarding getting a different A/R turbine housing and was informed that they don't currently offer anything that will bolt up.

whichever one they go with, it will certainly fit!

fitment has always been great on this kit, especially considering how many pipes are in a small area.

What Quadcam meant was there are no larger A/R turbine housings in current production that will bolt up with this turbo and kit. The GT-K 550 should be the closest but I have not tried to direct bolt it yet. I'll ask again if Turbonetics has any more info on it yet..

I know this has probably been asked over and over again...but from my search results, I cant seem to find a definate answer...When will the Stage 2 kits come out for the Z, officially? I have stage 1 tuner with AAM fuel kit, injectors, etc, etc...and I want to upgrade to this stage 2 kit, but I cant wait more than another month. I want to be patient, but some kind of time frame would help people who are planning their builds before next season. I know you are getting sick of answering these types of questions over and over again MIA, but if you could, I would really appreciate any kind of time frame...or any update in the products/R&D of the kit.

Your feeling did not betray you...
In all honesty, if you have any shop close by that knows **** from elbow when it comes to turbocharging a vehicle, just ask them if they can match a bigger turbo to your car. There are a few people on the boards who have done it, or are in a process of doing so.
JETPILOT has fount a Garrett GT series turbo for his project, there is another guy with an orange Z who's running a bigger single turbo on a built motor...
If you have the $$ ready, don't drive yourself crazy with waiting, get it done. I don't belive that the stage 2 is going to be a revolution in forced induction anyway.
