Default Exedy twin disc clutch - 300ZX

Anyone know If I could use the exedy twin disc clutch for the 300ZX twin turbo in my car? I can't find the exedy twin for the 350Z anywhere for a decent price. Searching brought up no results...

You'd be amazed at the number of different flywheels that will bolt up to various nissan cars...it really is kind of amazing.

I still don't see it. Besides the fact that IMO a 300z twin plate won't hold the torque that a VQ can make.

well, when they're the same engine, it's not all that amazing (parts bin technology should not be amazing to you anymore)

Clutch Masters has a Twin Organic/Kevlar composit thats fairly affordable. FX600 and the FX 700 is the race version of that clutch. You can use it with any of the fly wheels I've been told, not like the carbon single, twin, or triple's. Its recomended though you have one with a removable friction surface on the fly wheel that way their is no need to resurface or purchase a new one, just pop in a new donut.

I'm not talking about the same engine...read this thread and learn what I did and maybe you'll understand where I'm coming from...it surprised me at least. I never said the 300ZX TT flywheel would work with the 350Z, I just said I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Kyle confirmed though that it does not because of the CAS pickup ring

Here is a link to a place that carries an exedy twin disc for the 350Z, but not sure if its the exact model you are looking for or not...

I got the twin disc carbon from GTM. But mine is the exact one that was on display at SEMA..so I don't know how easy they are to get. Give Sam a call and see if he could help you. He's one of the main distributors for Exedy USA.
