One thing I was curious about was the Balance procedures with the Z motors---------Is it still, weighing Crank pulley ,rods, pistons, rings, pins, flywheel etc. ???? And then removing metal to acheive Balance

weighing the rotating assembly: rod, piston, rod bearings, rings, piston buttons (in the case with the ED arias), then building bobweights, attaching to each crank journal, then spinning crank...
evry crank we have checked has been at least 3-18 grams off each side..the balanced product is to less than .5 grams!
Sorry --My posts were getting out on sync with urs----Thats great and its not overkill ---Its the way it needs to be done.
I relize the Piston to Wall clearence has tightened up as far as Cast Pistons and Forged but didnt know how much.
There was a time that a properly clearanced Forged piston sounded like a can of rocks till it heated up

Using your own block, that is if it is usable, would mean a longer turn around time, and depending on what you wish to do.
