Default No Traction!!!!!!!!

I installed my aps st kit with bald tires on and didnt really have traction but i always thought it was my bald tires. anyways today i got new tires on and i was excited to have traction so i could do some pulls from a dig.. well its really really bad. from a dig start normal when it reached 5 6k my tires start spinning and thats the time to shift into 2nd, 2nd goes in car jsut burns out if i dont let off it will jsut sit there and spin and spin . i tryed feathering but as soon as i let off boost goes down and then have to wait to boost again and once it hits 8 psi it satrt spinnign again. i tryed many different methods to figure out how to cause lil traction loss nothing works its really really bad. my setup is tein s tech springs, with 19x10.5" ray g games wrapped with 285 35 bgf kdw g force tires. anyone know what i should do to get traction camber kit? ditch rims? im open to anything. its nto even worth runnning anyone even a honda unless im going 40 plus

KDW's are a rain tire. Not something you would consider a performance tire.

how much whp/tq are you putting down?

according to some of people, you can get full WOT traction with a ST kit with 285 normal street tires. The secret ingredient is magic and no camber

according to a whole bunch more people they don't get full traction with regular street tires

What did you expect from a super low profile, stiff sidewall summer tire?

I have a set of 18 in. BFG DRs that I run all the time and I have full traction in all gears all the time. It's all about sacrifices.

Funny... you are having the same problem I used to have until I got a pair of Michelin PS2 tires!! These tires are probably the stickiest tires you can get besides drag radials... Just like you I used to spin at 5K~6K rpm, but no more~ the difference is a night and day~ When the temperature drops though... spinning comes back even with PS2.

How about a boost controller with speed based boost control so you can run low boost levels in 1st.

weird I wasn't impressed with the PS2's traction at all and I had 295's. I mean, it was clearly better than stock at least

I loved my PS2's

I had 295's on 10.5" rims, and with 560wtq, they held up well enough for me. Stock suspension and camber. Of course, first gear was a joke, but about half-way through second, they started to stick.

is this after you guys do some burnouts and warm up the tires? Because I just wasn't impressed with them overall including handling and soft sidewalls etc

No burnouts; I've never even been to the drag strip or anything. Just your regular street antics

I think the fact that I wasn't lowered and on stiff springs really helped. When I hit the gas, my car would squat like crazy, almost bottom the suspension out, or at least it felt like it. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but it surely helped traction.

Do you guys think that 18s and 19s make a big difference in traction?

Oh, and I believe camber does effect traction.

Nothing can beat DR or slicks, but they don't last long as you know...
I also have BF DRs.. I use PS2 for street races and BF DRs for track use.
PS2 will last more miles than DRs..

People should always remember that DR is for strictly dry pavements.

Yeah, that camber sucks~ Get that fixed and invest some money on high quality tires.. Since you live in FL, you'll be happy with PS2. You'll be amazed how much faster you are when there's a grip in 5K~6K rpm range.
