I know if this was a REAL racecar, I wouldn't even have A/C...but an idea I had last time I pulled my motor was
"Wouldn't it be cool to be able to pull the front clip off without discharging the A/C (for service work, motor swap, etc.)
So, I had some custom lines made, figured I'd share the pics:

When the lines are disconnected at this break, both sides of the line seal and remain pressurized! Avoiding the need to discharge and recharge the A/C system...I think I'm the first to have this mod!

thats pretty cool.
who manufactures those fittings?
I was eventually going to make some dry break lines for my rear brakes since I have to change back to stock calipers to clear the drag wheels. The drybreak fittings I was going to use were about $300 per connection.

there is a hydrolic supply place here that makes any custom line you need, these 3 lines cost a little under $400! not sure of the manufacturer, these guys have always had EVERYTHING for any line/fitting known to man.
Nice solution, would also give a bit more freedom for those who normally leave the compressor attached when pulling the motor. Still you'd have to be pulling the motor a few times to get the full benefit, either way nice job.

exactly...the compressor can stay with the motor when it comes out, and the front clip can come off with the fan shroud, radiator, and ac condensor all still together- comes off as a unit..vs stripping it all down, definately will make life easier!
