Honeslty, not much..Sold mine a while back for a few hundred $$$ 2-3 I think..Not a huge demand for them, especially with the new Q version and other EMS solutions out there. The good thing about the Unichip is the box is universal, meaning you could hardwire it to another aplication..

Julian, you are not an HKS dealer, and have no idea what you are talking about. The fact is, HKS wanted Forged Performance as an FCON tuner, as much as we wanted to be one. I dont have any minimum volume requirments.....PERIOD. There are only 11 HKS Pro Dealers in the whole country. What makes you think you know how their program works? I use the FCON, becuase it works, and our customers apprciate the benefits.

I am not in this to make a bunch of money. If I wanted to get rich, I would not be in this business. I do this becuase I truely have a passion for this stuff, and enjoy making our customers happy. We only sell stuff that works at the high level we demand....another reason we only carry a limited assortment of products.

Your lack of professional etiquette is abundantly clear, when you make statements like this.
Sharif,
If your telling me that HKS does not require you to maintain a minimum then show me that in writing and Ill show you my DJ charts..Stop calling me out...You might get what you wish for...

In my humble opinion.........and having tuned all(plus alot more that are not available for these cars) of these systems at one point or another..........Almost everything available for the G or Z is capable of tuning these vehicles accurately and safely. There are some features with each of these systems that makes one easier to use then others. Some of them have more mapping points then others. Some of the software is a joke but nonetheless the system works. For example, the Utec software is very old school if you will, since it based off DOS but the idle cotnrol using the MAF offset is awesome, especially with large injectors. The ability to have five different maps at the touch of a switch is great and overall it works very well and I wouldnt be afraid to use it on a big horsepower application. The SS box has great software and alot of mapping points upto 16psi,the idle quality with big injectors is not as good as with the Utec and loading up maps sucks because the car must be turned off.The V-pro has alot of features and some of these can get you into trouble quickly if you dont know what you are doing. It is very similiar to AEM and the features it has.If you start messing around with certain parameters, before you know it your car is running like dogcrap.However,V-pro and AEM are great systems for those guys that have the knowledge and understand the idiosyncrasies of the particular systems. They also have extensive mapping points which means ultimately means a little better resolution.Idle quality with large injectors is exceptional for both and you can run staged injection. Some people might be wondering why I mentioned AEM.The reason is that it will be available very soon.I started off tuning in the old days with the Electromotive Tec-2.LOL.That system had 8 load points and 8 rpms points but I could still tune a car within an inch of its life and make great power. All of these systems for the Z and G are far superior to the old school tec-2 so we should all be happy! So anyways, this is my opinion so take it for what its worth.

You are very quick to post your latest achievements on your car, so I would love to see the 600whp+ DynoJet run. That is something to be proud of. Otherwise, you are all talk...as usual.

I will never disclose confidential business arrangements I have with my suppliers. Your previous comments made me lose the respect I had for you in the past. Goodbye.

Imagine that....5'9" 180lbs....my height and weight. lol. Had a guy in boot camp for the military that was 5'6" 150lbs (white guy) knock the living **** out of a 6'4" 260lbs black guy. On Sundays the DC (drill sergant for you semper fi guys) would hold a division vs division grudge match on ricky sundays. It was all squashed when homeboy that weighed 260lbs got his nose broken.

I use to work for my dad years and years ago driving a wrecker. First words out of everyone's mouth was "that's my car you MF!!"...You learn how to box real quick or you become a regular at the emergency room. Its not how big you are in this game, although reach does play a big part....its more about how you throw your punches/kicks. Most clowns get nervous or super mad and throw like a girl or don't follow through b/c they are nervous. I eat their lunch everytime. hahah. So who's in? Someone bring a video tape please.

lol....if you say so. I have had my fair share of stitches, busted lips, knocked out teeth. Not one of them was a guy that out weighed me by more than 15 lbs. Hell, most of them weighed less. 99% of the big guys I've had altercations with have went home crying to mommy. One hard headed big guy smashed my pinky knuckles with his big fat head. Broke my knuckle, but laid him out. Unless you're in the UFC...you won't find a guy like you are describing. Trust me...all being big means is that you're big. That's it.

if all else fails, I have a retractable baton. lol

Man... This is a hate festival. On both sides.

I consider myself an automotive enthusiast, and I've heard good things about Both MRC and Forged. I have seen good posts from both sides. I've been to forged's shop and I've seen the quality of work they do.

Can't we all get a long? I mean, both sides agree that the FCON is a better platform right? It certainly has better features. I think the argument is whether the UTEC is acceptable at high boost levels. One side says the FCON is a safer bet, and the other side agrees, except that they are emphatically saying that its not a necessity, to which the other side agrees.

I mean, Alberto is running 580 whp on a UTEC. Sharif was running 600 whp on a UTEC. They just think that at that power level, the FCON is a better bet. I tend to agree with them, because you have more control with the FCON due to the finer resolution, plus the individual cylinder control.

Julian feels that the UTEC is sufficient to do the job at those power levels, even though it does pose tuning challenges and have a few drawbacks (eg warm start issues.)

What the hell are you guys debating? This is the ugliest thread I've ever seen in which the two sides have so little they disagree about.

What do you think only little guys train? Keep thinking the way you do and one day you will run into that big guy and he's going to put in the ECU.

Wow-this thread took a kinda funny turn, people sharing fighting stories/experience and what not, I 100% agree with the big guy usually doesnt equal a good fighter mentality. Sentry-that cage in the bar is crazy, you would never find anything like that out here, most MMA training sites in MD/VA dont even have cages, just a lot of floor space to roll and a ring to throw down. In all honesty looking back at this thread today-it is all pretty dumb. I cant speak for others but I may have taken Julian's comment the wrong way and unfairly posted, or maybe I didnt, regardless I didnt need to get so nasty, so personal. Julian has his moments, I know I have mine-$hit even Sentry has his flare ups(in the S/C vs turbo debate every other `week) but thats how it goes. You get a bunch of prideful car guys anywhere and $hit goes down-like Ozzie mentioned, Ive seen it first hand. Julian's posting sometimes rubs me the wrong way and I know it goes both ways, I'll refrain from the personal crap from now on, it really is a bad thing when we have business owners, adults, people who spend so much $$$ on a car, rivalries forming between shops/customers, arguing like little kids. Disagreements dont have to end in 3 page flame wars-you all know the arguing over the internet saying....For everybody who read the nonsense Im sorry, thats my apology-that goes to Julian as well-take it for what its worth to you. Somebody quote this so Julian can read in case he added me to the ignore list. I'll leave it at that....
