Talking 400HP club w/vortech

Just got off the phone with my mechanic. After tweeking and tuning, my belt slip problem is a thing of the past, and I am officially in the 400HP club. My peak was 407HP!

This is a lot better than I was expecting, and I can't wait to drive it!!! Just need the wifey to get home and take me up there to pick the car up.

Details:

Vortech S/C full kit.
3.1 supergrip pulley
Alternate belt routing (found on this site).
Nismo Cams
Snow Engineering water/alcohol injection.

More details after I have driven it a while.

Thanks to everyone on the site that helped answer questions over the last 6 months.

Alan

Looks like he did the TIMROD belt fix. Best thing I have ever done to my car.

Very nice, with a power curve that linear your engine should last for a long time. Only thing I would do is work on the A/F curve looks a little out of wack Enjoy it!

nice, you only got cams and an exhaust for supporting mods? you should add the 'W' or 'RW' for your horsepower

search for TIMROD in this forum and you will find it quite quickly. I think that I found it on the first page of threads just a bit ago when i searched for it. There should be two diagrams of the belt setup. One of the stock vortech setup and one of the TIMROD setup.

I still dont see why people think they have a belt slipping problem . When all they have is a belt thats to loose . I never had a belt slip problem with the 3.12 pulley . I didnt really try the 2.87 but , the only time has belt slip been the problem is when the psi builds and the blower gets to hard to turn . Even with Timrods belt change , its going to slip when they get up towards 13psi .

When I had the Vortech with the 3.12 pulley I never had a belt slippage problem either, just retightened it once after a 1000 miles and 41,000 miles later it was still fine.

no belt slippage here. I love my Vortech kit. My boys always try to talk me into going turbo but I have plenty of fun with my mods. Welcome to the 400 club!
