Do you mean adjusting the engagement point? Please explain how this works... I need to do everything to save my tranny from going since the tranny was never replaced w/ 50k on it...

I believe there have been at least 1 or 2 "serious" / pro drag cars made from the 350z. Uber-high HP applications.

I wonder what tranny they used...

anyone looking to do any type of MT swap has to consider one big thing, its the gear ratio. when you change the gear ratio of the transmission you change the characteristic of shift points and what not. over at the z32 boards we are experiencing problems with the transmission at high tq numbers...it works but wears out fast. We are looking to adapt other transmissions ourselves and gear ratios are limited...very gay

BamBam,

A race prepped auto ( C4, C6, Th350, Th40, or a Glide) will rip your head off with how fast they shift!!! crisp and clean doesn't even begin to describe it.......it'll change your mind about auto trannies!!! they aren't the best for daily driver's , but when you are talking about potential 9 sec or faster cars, you don't really have a well rounded vehicle anyway...you just wanna haul a$$ and do it reliably. it you need over drive, add a Gear Vendors overdrive unit after the trans.

The tranny issue is the biggest issue for me when looking for what exactly I want to build now...and with me only being able to drive an auto, a tranny swap seems to be the only choice I have to run a modest amount of power.
