I need help in choosing a BOV
It is hard to go wrong with the TIAL BOV in my opinion. Quality product that does the job well without too much show-boating noise. I have run it personally on my last two vehicles, and it has a 50.5mm piston so it can grow with you.

As long as it is a quality piece any will do perfectly fine, just personal preference. I have used a HKS SSQV on my RX7, then got a HKS Racing Bypass valve, then another HKS SSQV for my Z. My new motor will have the Tial 50mm. I have never personally run a Greddy valve, but many people find it great. Alot of people like TurboXS valves, but I personally do not...no real reason behind it, but I decided a long time ago I wouldn't buy one. Sard R2D2 is a nice valve, hard to find though.
So basically go with one you like the look of, sound of, whatever...just make sure it is a reputable brand name.

Everyone seems to be very pre-occupied with the sound of the valve rather then its flow rate. While I must say I like the sound of the Turbonetics Raptor i have I'm most interested in the flow rate it can achieve (even though I'm running a meager 8 PSI). I would say look for all the video clips everyone has of their car and decide which valve you like the best...

Flowrate is why I am opting for the Tial 50mm for the RB, but for most people flowrate shouldn't be a huge priority because I would assume any of the mainstream bov's on the market will flow a sufficient amount for most any street car under 600hp

And for those who are worried that their perfered BOV can not flow enough to prevent compressor surge manufacurers made more than one and y-adapters for vacuum lines. If you want HKS SSQV BOV and don't think it can flow enough put two of them on. There are a number of high HP cars that do this in order to help further prevent compressor surge.

HKS does have a replacement for the SSQ that is coming out with in a month. As everyone mentioned, for the power levels we run on these cars, most BOV's will do. The TIAL is a very serious BOV, and can flow plenty of air for high boost cars. The TIAL, IMHO, makes the least amount of noise. Just a simply rush of air, that you can barely here at low boost. Works great.

Between shifts, the air used to scream for escape, but now with two of them, its a nice steady rush of air, with zero flutter or compressor surge.
Sounds very much like the TIAL now. I did this mostly for show, as a single large BOV would have accomplished exactly the same thing.

It depends on the amount of boost you're running. the TiAL on an Evo running ~22 psi is not really quiet.
Like already mentioned, you shouldn't buy a BOV based soley on sound/looks. Unless, of course, you're a show ho.

You could run two but for me and for some others it looks tacky and is pointless. if you pick the right valve ahead of time you don't have to run two and look like you screwed up to begin with. Again thats my personal opinion...
I generally go for mounting it in the front bumper right near the intercooler/behind the headlight so you have less engine bay clutter, but when everything is done right it can make the motor look nice too in the bay.
