We have a car here at 750ft elevation that will be dynoed this week so then you guys(Bri and Gurgen)can fight over those dyno charts and correction factors too.Oh thats right,it will be on a Dyno Dynamics so I know there is even more controversy.Unfortuantely,it doesnt have as many parts as Kevins car but it should be a good indictation of what this set-up can do at 14-16 psi of boost with 8.6 to 1 compression,no cams,no lightweight flywheel,etc........

I'll be sure when I go FI, not to post a dyno.

uh oh...just be careful Tim. If you are going to the Dyno Shop, I have been told that they calibrate their DD to read close to their DJ. From the main dyno screen, push the "x" button, and you can see if they are using any artificial correction factors.

damn guys, give tim a break. I don't know about you, but anything putting down more than 400whp gets my jollies off. I don't care if he's making 495whp or 795whp.....that torque curve is niiiiice! No more top end drop off. Anyone have any ANTI-Viagra??? I've had wood for 3 days straight from reading this thread and GTMs 855whp thread.

as has been said many times on these forums, ... The Dyno Shop's dynos are well known as the "Heart Break Dynos", for good reason, ... they all read lower than any in the SoCal area. Many many/years and years of testaments to that.....

Nice work at any rate Tim. Whether 500 or 600 or whatever, great performance and if the car is reliable, that is very cool.

Perhaps we can get together and run a few cars on the DynoJet to give some perspective...Tell me what WHP level you want to bring 400, 500, 600, or higher...We have them to choose from.

Good-luck...

If their DD is calibrated to read like their DJ's, then they arent breaking as many hearts as they should. Like I mentioned, just hit the "x" key on the main data input/setup screen, and you can see for yourself. It should read 1.00 if no additional correction is added.

If their Dyno Dynamics are calibrated to read like their Dynojet I promise you they are breaking hearts. I and about 15 other people were there for Tim's SFR dyno Day. Including a car that had just dyno'd about an hour previious at another Dynojet a couple miles away. All dynos for the SFR dyno day were done on The Dyno Shop's Dynojet. On the other dyno that car put down 275 RWHP. On this dyno he put down 245 RWHP. My car which consistently makes no less then 370 RWHP and 360 ft/lb of tq at 8 PSI (and has made 390 RWHP at 8 and 9 PSI on two other dynos) put down a whopping 358 WHP at 8.5 PSI on this dyno and 350 ft/lb of tq. Trust me, even their Dynojet reads low. I was kind of upset. So much so I went to another Dyno that day about 35 minutes away and made 373 RWHP and 368 ft/lb at 8.5 PSI... I guess the other 27 dynos I've been to that recorded an average of 370 RWHP could be wrong and the one dyno at The Dyno Shop that recorded a 358 might have been right but I sincerely doubt it.

I dont doubt what you are saying at all. Many people have indicated that certain Dyno Jets read higher or lower than others. Things like strapping, can make a very big difference in measured power.

All I was pointing out, is to just check to see if additional correction is used. I takes about 1 sec. Tim is a friend of mine, and I just wanted to make sure people dont start jumping all over him about the Dyno Shop dynos.

Oh I hear you... I don't think they run any correction unless you ask them to but I would have to check a much older dyno chart from my last car. I never dyno'd my Z on their Dyno Dynamics units...

i just got off the phone with these guys.

and i'm going to be ordering the complete kit.
this thing comes with an upgraded fuel system, injectors, self-tune management.

AND, stock settings at 8.5 psi is @ 439rwhp. THATS INSANE. i talked to the guy cuz on the site, it says that the car runs safe @ 571rwhp with stock motor, cams, pistons, clutch. etc. thats crazy...

so running ur car at 8.5 psi is actually really safe to run. the guy said he has over 25k miles on his Z with the stock motor items and running his car over 450rwhp.

the kit has (2) T-60 turbo's (turbonetics single size). and those are prettty damn big...

Maybe there was some confusion. The car runs safe at 571 crank horsepower which is what I estimated using Nissans flywheel vs. RWHP wehave seen on numerous dynos........I wouldnt attempt to make that kind of RWHP on a stock motor because it will go kaboom!

Just to clarify, I think I said over 20K. Actually it is about 22K to be exact. But what the hell 22K, 25K, close enough

Yes they are biggons.

So that means my car will put down 491WHP on that dyno The Dynoshop dyno tends to read lower then other Dynojets I have used.

Is the upgraded fuel system a return fuel system?

We just got off the dyno with one of our project cars.I will post the dyno when I get a chance. It is the same build as Kevins except it is a Rev-up motor with 8.5 to 1 comression, doenst have AAM fuel system, doesnt have lightweight flywheel, doesnt have cams, doesnt have the re-flash but does have one of our intake manifolds. The car made 531WHP and 448ft/lbs at 12.8 psi of boost. This was on the Dyno Shops heart breaker Dynojet. We couldnt plot boost on the Dynojet but I could see we would hit a peak and then it would drop off slightly. We were having problems with the tires breaking loose on the dyno though.Originally we had it on the Dyno Dyamics but we couldnt strap it down since the rollers are in the ground and the car is lowered so we just kep burning the tires up when we hit boost. That is when we switched over to the Dynojet and still had the problem but not as bad.FYI,dont buy Bridestone Potenza if you want to hook-up.LOL.This was on 91 octane fuel and this was with the stock rev limiter kicking in on us.The Utec has a rev limiter that you can set but it appears as though the ECU is overiding it.I also tuned it pretty conservatively since we didnt want to have to give the car back to the customer in pieces.

To summarize..........This car with another psi or two of boost, a tad bit higher compression and some cams should make 600+WHP or so. I am pretty confident about it.So I think kevins numbers are alot more realistic then some people are saying in this thread. We will be testing our test car with the stock plenum in a few weeks and see what it does. So finally we can have some definitive before and after results with our twin plenum intake on a FI car.
