Default No love in the suspension forum

Hey guys, I was getting no love in the suspension forum and i know alot of you guys have the flex with edfc so i figured i would repost here.

I recently have been having a problem with my EDFC controller for my Tein Flex. My rear suspension adjusts fine. My presets work, i can manually adjust the setting, etc. My front suspension generates an error everytime i try to change the settings. I am guessing one of my motors died. Can anyone confirm???

Thanks,

j

umm isnt he talking about the edfc motors?

cant you see the motor actually moving when u press the button? I have the edfc as well but I never really looked at the motors while adjusting so im not sure.. and my car is at the shop so i can't check.. but u should be able to hear it anyways when u adjust it..

check for proper functioning.

when you first turn on the car, the unit should fully cycle back and forth and then go to your setting. When each motor does this, you can hear it, and you can see it if you remove the rubber cover and watch it in the center.

check the wiring to each of the 4 motors. I had a problem once with my shock piston spinning around and it was winding up the wiring harness to that motor.

Thanks phunk. I will take a look at it this weekend. Figured someone must have seen a problem like this before. I do have over 60k on my flex. just seems like everything is starting to break lately.

when u say, "the unit should fully cycle back and forth and then go to your setting" could u describe this? does it start where the last setting was or does it adjust when u turn the car off. like for example does it start at full hard, go to full soft and then to your setting? or does it start in medium then go to full hard then to soft then to ur setting? and do u know how many rotations it takes the tein to go from hard to full soft? i heard from tokico usa thats its 4.5 full turns because there experimenting with them, and i talked to tein usa which didn't know and then asked someone at his office and they said theres 8 clicks per turn and only 16way adjustable which means it only does 2 full turns? that didn't sound right? i'm tyring to make the tein edfc work with the tokicos which tokico said its possible and there trying to do so as well lol. but before i go out and buy the edfc and try this i really would like some info on the start up functions on this and the amount of rotations cleared up. any info would be greatly appericated.
