+1 I did the same thing and came to the same conclusion

Pm me if you want, do you have a parts list on what you plan on doing with your project. Are you doing it in "stages".

Let me know.

Thanks again

Pretty easy so far here is what I have purchased

- Walbro 255lhp feul pump
- New Vortech oil lines (just incase)
- non resonated test pipes
- AAM oil pan spacer
- RC 440cc injectors
- Utec

so far ive spent about $3700 on everything. need some gauges, still undecided but i think im going with aem wideband, oil temperature and fuel pressure gauges.

Good start ---May want to get the 3.12 pulley right away, If the AAM spacer has a port ---DONT dump in to it, drill and tap the upper pan, a boost gage would be handy to have just to keep tabs on things.

Also ---I had modded a K@N RX4140 filter to fit, its much bigger and easier to take out and clean. Make sure u keep the inlet orifice cleaned

its the highest you can go till you got to start upgrading other parts.

cant tap to the aam? is it b/c it has to drain above the oil line? anyway not a total loss ill use the ports for oil temp witch I believe is #1 guage to have for a vortech

IMO --Yes ---The dump should be natural gravity flow. And yes also on the port for the gage ---Due to SC engine load and hot summers, oil temp is important to keep an eye on just cuz.

Are you doing the install yourself, or taking it to a shop?

That's a great start. You may want to consider a fuel return system as well.

just received some nkg 1 step colder plugs. i dont know how i forgot about those. as for tapping the oil spacer, im not even gonna mess with. just not worth it. gonna tap the upper oil pan instead. i got the aam instead of jwt because i heard the jwt was a good fit but the aam was perfect, plus forged was out stock on the jwt . sharif gave me a helluva nice price though on the aam oil spacer. ive considered a feul return but i'll hold off on that. maybe if i jump to the 2.87 pulley then i would definately go with one.

oh, if anyone needs anything for their vortech kits or any other performance related products just give sharif a buzz and let him know you are a my350z member cause he gives great hook ups plus their service is second to none. if its in stock they will ship the same day everytime if you give them enough time.

thanks sharif!
