My Experience @ Altered Atmosphere

My Experience @ Altered Atmosphere
About a week ago, I started a thread to find out where I could purchase an FCON Vpro and have it installed and tuned. Shortly thereafter, Mike@Altered sent me a pm with an inquiry on my current set-up and what my future plans were. After several promising pm's, Mike convinced me to come by the shop and speak with him in person.
So, I made the drive to Altered and was greeted by several employees. Eventually Mike popped out to say hello and we began talking. I showed him a small portfolio of the major mods that have been done to the car thus far. After looking everything over, Mike and I went over some things and he gave me his input on what he thought of the car and where we could go with it.
After talking for awhile, Mike gave me the grand tour of the facility. I was able to see there CNC machine which was actually being used at the time to produce plenum spacers. I also got to see all of there welding jigs that they use to create there custom exhausts and downpipes. We walked around the shop further and made our way to the dyno room where a greddy tt G35 was awaiting some final tuning. All along the way, Mike was telling me about all the various 350z's(and there were alot) and G35's and all the different mods that were done to them.
Mike and I ended up talking a bit more before I left and tried to put some kind of timeline together for the install and tune of my Vpro. I really couldn't put down an exact time because i'm truly not sure when the car will be ready for a tune but, Mike was totally understanding. Mike gave me the impression that whenever im ready, he'll be good to go.
I originally went up to Altered not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by Mike's enthusiasm, professionalism, and knowledge. He was able to address possible issues/flaws without ever seeing the car once which, I greatly appreciated. The tour was also great. I was able to see it from all the various aspects that go into building a car. It was a fun experience that benefited me in a number of ways.
Needless to say, I was sold by the end of the day. I'll be having my Vpro installed and tuned at Altered as soon as my builder is done with assembly and i'll be sure to make a follow up post with how things go.
To Mike, I thank you again for everything and I look forward to working with you in the very near future. I can't wait to lay down some solid numbers.

I opened up this thread expecting to read more negative press on AAM. It is nice to read write-ups from satisfied customers.
I have an AAM oil pan spacer; it is a nice piece. I also have their oil drain lines for my greddy.....only complaint on these is that both lines were about 6" too long. Normally, that's not a big deal, but cleanly cutting braided stainless lines is a PITA.

OP: good luck with that tuning.
My only advice is to make sure you do research before committing to anything. (For recommended parts based on your desired hp levels etc, average install/tuning time/charge and company reputation...)
