It was boosting about 9.5 the days before it overboosted bad I figured 9.5 was because of my exhaust, then a cold night came around and POP went the motor.

I thought stock kit level (and thus reflash) was for 8.5 or something, no?

I guess adding mods and not having it tuned for them is not a good idea.

I have a TN and with my AEM Tru boost controller on the lowest settings I will hit around 11lbs. I have to run with my BC off and I still hit around 9.5. Makes me NERVOUS!!! I don't have any other mods that affect intake/exhaust or back pressure. It seems silly to me that I should need to lower the 9lbs wastegate spring and a B.C. should keep the W.G. closed until preset boost hit and release before you go above preset limit.
Is that so much to ask?!

Just get the lower psi spring! Be carefull until you get your boost under control.

I'm going to use the Utec to control mine now.

BTW I have a six speed.

You might wat to get rid of the ssv, I was overboosting alot with mine and then I sold it and put on my stock intake with no spacer and I haven't had an issue with overboosting at all, it runs great. I'm using the utec to control boost.

no overboosting issues...i run at 8.8 psi...when it got really cold i went as high as 9.2 psi but my a:f stayed under 11.5 so i just drove a lil easy but that was still ok a:f on the safety side....currently using the JIC 3" Ti exhaust non resonated and UTEC...no EBC, just overboost relocation pipe

A boost controller can not make a wastegate open lower then the tension of the spring in the wastegate. You should switch to a 5 PSI or 7 PSI spring if you are going to run a boost controller.

+1 No overboost here either. 8-8.5 PSI since day 1 with NO overboost pipes installed either.

this is why i hate the reflash, you need an engine management that is boost dependant unless you have wastegates that will not let you overboost or boost higher at all even when its cold outside, and thats not happening....

i agree it has its limitations, which is why i like the tuner version of this kit better, and by this i am not going to just say that you must run a UTec(you figure out which one you want)
I love the TN kit, looks HOT!

Which z is yours that is at Japtrix? I was there the other day for a dyno day with some friends. Saw a white and blue there getting things fixed.
