Default Stillen Super Charger Pulley Belt

Stillen just informed me that they came out with a six rib pulley system about a month ago ($390). Anyone have this or considering it to replace the 4 rib you now have? They say it will fix the pulley/belt problems.

Wow, no, I did not hear about this.

I never had any problems with my 4-rib but it would be nice to help belt life.

No, I haven't heard anything about it. Sounds like a good idea. Hopefully they incorporate that as a standard part of their kits.

I just bought the set of belts so I may do it later in the summer or when these belts start to scream.

Post some pic. or have him do it. Was it $390 and what exactly does the 6 rib do for the car. I am debating wether or not to buy the setup but I do not understand what the benefit will be.

the benefit is a wider belt therefor less belt slippage, and less belt slippage means more boost and the belt last,s longer.

I wonder if there is any chance that the 6 rib is harder to turn and robs power?

Yep, I am having the Stage IV installed at the same time so it going to be hard to tell if there is any gain or lost.

Good question, but it will not likely have any negative effect on power.

Wow, wonder why all that is new and the old stuff has to come off... didn't think it would be that involved.

Stillen says the new plenum adds more room for the pulleys. It seats the supercharger back further.

I did not get the car back, dealer cannot get one of the pulleys out. I guess they lack tools or something. They did a good job with the initial install so I am not worried just anxious.

I have a question concerning the Stage 4. Does the stage 4 burn more gas? It seems that I am getting like 10 or 11 miles to the gallon. Is it possible to adjust the fuel injector on the Stage 4? If I am over 70 I burn gas like crazy, I had to look in the mirror to see if I had a fuel leak.
