I wouldn't push the motor more than is needed. I have seen 400 hp on these motors be too much and I have seen guys running 440-450+ without issue. once you get to upper 300's - lower 400's, that seems to be taking the motor out of the comfort level.

I agree with zivman. dont push your motor seeking for crazy power. I'm sure you have a very conservative tune. enjoy it as is till you build the motor.

btw, what dyno did you use? post the dyno sheet.

Being your first turbo car I would be happy with the safe 360 numbers. Guys have reached higher numbers. Like Ziv and others have said, guys have ran 400+ for many miles and other can't make it out the door(you know what I mean).

Be safe and have fun with the new car. Take some vids

I was getting 365WHP at 9psi with NO tune... I just plugged the unichip that's it.. I have a boost controller and I usually set the boost at 11~12psi.. So, I guess I was pushing about 380~390WHP with APS's base map loaded unichip... I drive pretty aggressively.. I drag at the strip, I take my car to the circuits, and I drift... No problem with my stock engine so far..

not true, the reccomended tuning from aps is around 8 or 9 psi which is completely safe. of course there are risks when introducing fi to a na vehicle but 9lbs does not increase the chance of your motor popping.

Robert, did you dyno his car prior to the installation? I like to see the before and after graphs especially since it's on the same dyno.

to be honest, i love the power, its really nice. im really impressed

1. even though im tuned at 9lb of boost, sometime i see over 9 lb,such as 9.4, 9.8, or even 10.0 something. is that completely safe???

2. Tig488 - i love the boost controler, thanks alot, and also love the plenum, i got painted flatblack..

3) a buddy of mine was traveling behind me, and i had gunned it on 3rd gear, and closer to redline i switched, next thing you know when i switched to 4th gear, big pluck flame came out the exhaust..
what happen their??
