2) I didnt reschedule 4-5 times lmao.... I missed (1) apt,..... ( 1 ) apt. you rescheduled me twice.... cuz of the dyno going down and then u were already packed with APPTS.....
3)TUNING Was in the deal, thats the ONLY reason I let you guys do the install, I didnt want to drive it untuned... but had to do it anyway for almost a month.....
4)After being charged 50% over the estimate, why would i go back to you when i could be charged for looking at it too?
%5)I said I'd be happy to have it FINISHED being tuned for free after paying that much money...., but then said I'd be ok with $75 again, its the principal and as far as me being HAPPY with the First $75 that was to "shut me up about saying this ordeal" Check out the responses on this thread and my350z, others see im right.... but good day to you. guess u have a free spot 2mrw at 12pm

So Brandon according to you the cost breakdown would have been by GRD shop rate:
$400 for missing parts
300 dollars for tune
300 for install.

you really need to look at the numbers and think about it. There is no way any shop would do the install for that price.

The main reason you are upset is the fact that u wanted the tune for FREE, or $75. Heck you even tried bribing us with Subway sandwichs from your girlfriends shop instead of paying for the tune. Its my mistake that the first time around i gave u the tune for $75 because you were upset u had to pay for part u were missing and tuning.

If you were gonna use your girlfriend to bribe there are much better things she can do than make a sandwich.

When I told you guys the pricing from sound performance you said You would compete with it, and it was 8-10 hours of labor and you'd give me a discount on the dyno tune.... and the vortech parts were $340, so worst worst case I was expecting around 1200 for it alll.... but regardless its the "principal" of how everything went down....

Ok if u are talking about principal Brandon, when u were upset and i lowered the price of dyno tuning from $300 to $75, u said that would take care of it. Now when u need to come back for a second tune due to mechanical issues, you want the tune for FREE, wheres the principal now?????

I had no problems with GRD either until my rod went through the block. When things go wrong is when you find out the true character of said shop. GRD lied about what went wrong with my car to try to cover there *** and got burnt with a core charge because of it. I would not trust Irshod as far as i could throw him.

Thats pretty sad when we did not charge u a core charge at the end, and let the whole issue go.

My experience with GRD went fine. I had them do a complete build on my G35 back in 2006. They installed a GRD built motor, APS-TT, Spec Clutch and gauges. The car runs great, I drive it everyday and have put around 10K miles on it so far. The install took about 3 weeks longer than we had planned/expected, but that was primarily due to the fact Tuan and Irshad are perfectionist and didn't want me to get the car back until everything was double and triple checked (since I was an out of town customer).

If you work with them, they will definitely work with you. Irshad still returns my calls and emails to this day even though I'm hundreds of miles from Naperville. Over the past year, I have always found the entire GRD team to be standup guys.

You did not try to collect a core charge at the end from me? I seem to remember a phone call from Earl trying to collect a core charge after 3 monthes after you realized GTM would not except my old block.

Way to avoid the question. You let it go because you had no choice. It was not a good faith gesture on your part thats for sure.

I was not avoiding your question, if u have an issue with GRD or what was done you can always contact us to resolve it.
We let the core charge go, you were in the hospital. Your voicemail box at work was full and would not accept messages, same on your cell phone. We tried to contact you at the time but could not reach you.
We shipped your core back to Sam at GT Motorsports, we shipped it a few weeks after your install, he took some time to look at it. Then we made the effort of contacting you regarding the core charge.
When u picked up your car u said u will not be able to pay for the core right now, that your wife would divorce you.
I don't want to make this bigger than it is we already ate the core charge.

Don't u think its enough???

one of the great things about Julian and MRC is.. everything is explained to you.. over and over again.. and then its laid out on paper... down to the labor and tuning charges... there is no guess work anywhere.. no assumption of what you are getting.. and how much its going to cost..

i definately see alot of miscommunication here..

its one thing i learned working in the corporate world.. you backup all your conversations with paper/email

I agree 100% with having everything in writing. And we did do that in this case. The customer wanted to prepay the whole amount, i specifically told him he does not need to, and that we have not received an invoice from Vortech yet.

Its always good to get feedback whether good or bad, it shows us where we can improve.

I've had OK/bad experiences with various shops . . . . . it all comes down to communication issues.

This is the first time I've heard of bad things regarding GRD. Everyone I've talked to have only told me excellent things about them and how good of a tuner Tuan is, so . . . . . .

right.... belt slip.... sadly i didn't know how to fix it didnt know it could be tightened so easily..... but same with the story at chicagoz about my buddy where, rather then state the problem when you find it, put it all back together then mention the problem, charge him ($2) to tell him about the problem ( its on the reciept lol) so that u can do more labor when it has to be taken apart again.... w/e though. its sad the only post you have on here are to " defend" urself whereas other sponsors get involved with the community ..

One thing sounds funny to me . When he was tuning the car , and got frustrated and quit because the belt kept slipping . WHy didnt the tuner just tighten it up ? Takes just a few minutes ? Or was the adjustment all the way tight and the belt needed to be replaced ?
