If you do not hear the valve blow off after wot between gears shifts then it's not adjusted properly..Whats not getting a full dump mean?. Don't go WOT until you readjust it...The valve should open to relieve pressure downstream of the blower which prevents blower instability and damage between gears shifts.

Mine simply goes Whisssssssssh between gears. No flutter. If it were open all the time you would be venting and not have any boost..What boost levels are you reaching?

The BOV constantly vents unless you got WOT. This is so you arent building boost are partial throttle.

If there is 6 or 7 threads showing above the nut....your fine . If you think something is wrong , look for vacuum leaks in the hose running to it , and all the other vacuum hoses running off the plenum . You should hear the boost be released [ dumped ] when shifting and letting off the gas .

The Bypass BOV comes from Vortech with about 9 threads showing and set to close at around [ 0 to 1 in. ] of vacuum . Tightening it down to 5 to 7 threads makes the BOV close sooner...say 2 to 4 in. of vacuum . Now if you get it to tight and you hear a fluttering when you let off the gas . Thats compressor surge and the adjustment bolt should be backed out a little .
