Update on my Engine/ Car Rebuild
Well, I thought it was about time to update everyone on my car/engine build.
As a lot of you know, I am putting in GT Motorsports’ 4.2L stroker kit.
This will be their fully built Stage 4 Long block and should be shipped within a few weeks. It will include all new timing components, rear cooling modification and GTM’s turbo camshafts with their Stage 4 heads.
Sharif at Forged Performance has been looking after my car since the last mishap in October and he will be doing all of the installation work (along with my new parts) and tuning of the new setup. Hopefully this will be done in time for HIN in April and ZdayZ in May.
Some of the new parts include Crawford Plenum, Tein MonoTube Flex’s, Cusco A Arms, Forged Performance’s Camber Arms & Solid Motor Mounts, Upgraded ATS triple disk carbon clutch, Turbonetics Water/Methanol Injection kit, upgraded 1 BAR wastegate actuators, 3.3 final drive swap, Engine bay dress-up with heavy duty heat shielding and Jet Hot treatment for all of the hot parts. We are also looking at installing some chassis Bracing by GT Spec, possibly some changes to the fuel system (for safety & reliability) and a special racing wheel (if we can get it to fit properly that is).
The expectation will be to run 3 boost levels allowing me to run 89 octane on the lowest boost setting (to avoid another blown engine in the Mid West), a standard boost level for street runs (with maybe a quick scramble setting for spirited runs) and a race fuel map for the track. I expect to be running again in the AKA Rally and this year we will be hitting the Salt Flats for some high speed runs. Look out 200mph ;-)
Once the engine is broken in, we will see what the stroker kit can handle with my upgraded turbos. But I expect to run around 450’s for low boost, 550’s for street and who knows what the race map will be able to produce.
Wish me luck and I am sure Sam, Sharif or myself will be keeping people updated in the next month. Keep an eye out for the car at HIN and ZDayZ later this spring/summer.

My Bad bro.... I meant a 3.3 final drive from an auto tranny.
That is what I get from typing this while having dinner in Cebu.
Sorry for the confusion.
