Chrysler had the cross ram in the late 60's. There were only a couple of big blocks with it. With duel 4brl carbs hanging over the valve covers. They said it gave the engine a small supercharger effect. When I started playing with the VQ I thought of the early Chevy 5 and 5.7l engines with their cross flow intakes. My idea was to cut one down to 6 and make an adapter to the z manifold, and still utilise the stock chevy TB.

Top secret has a few manifold designs like this some for N/A and a couple for forced induction. Has anyone thought of using the New skyline intake it has two tb's and air inlets factory.

 

the chrysler cross ram had very long runners...not condusive to high rpm use.

 

This is correct, but it was also for a carburated application with 12"-15" runners. As you can see our runners are about 4-5" at their longest point..
