When I asked this question (roughly 6 months ago?) when I was taking notes on different FI kits to decide what I'm going to do after my settlement and get my Z (or G) to build there were a few that chimed in about making 500-525rwhp out of the vortech. I will try and find that post.

highest to my knowledge has been the guy from Dsport magazine making around 510whp. I'm not sure on the tq number, but probably in the 400-420tq range

his method of reaching that power was with a T-trim blower reving to 7600 rpms on a 3.5 liter engine with ferrea valvetrain. He had to have a custom cog pulley belt setup fabricated which he later sold to booger when he scrapped the project and switched to a JWT TT with upgraded turbos

...haven't seen any vortech numbers with a stroker kit or anyone with a rev up engine really push the vortech yet

oh, there is a guy here:
http://g35driver.com/forums/showthre...=142943&page=4
claiming he has 550whp on a vortech, but doesn't have a dyno chart or any final dyno numbers...so not sure what to think yet

That's why I'm posting. A claimed 550whp with no proof and not knowing what exact setup or FI kit he has.

His heads and sleeved block isnt going to get him 550whp at 13 to 15psi . If he did dyno it and got them numbers . The guy running the dyno has some huge correction put in .

As far as what are the biggest numbers with a stock Vortech blower . Who knows..I think ****** [ decided to leave his name out ] claims 450whp at 10 psi . I dont believe that because he claimed a tuned 425whp at 8 psi and he put it on a [different dyno ] load base dyno and got 348whp . He said he put on the smaller pulley and got 10psi and tuned it to 450whp . 100whp on 2psi and a RE_TUNE ? right !
My point is , we cant tell on the internet who is really putting out good numbers , what dyno operators and tuners are not over correcting . I believe even DynoJets can be fudged a little . But they are the closes dyno we can do some comparing on .

I cant find the old post that i made that had the info in it, all I remember was a vendor giving info on it but I dont think any proof/dynos were on it, so worthless anyhow.

I wouldnt get into a built vortech setup, expecting 500whp+. You will only be setting yourself up for dissapointment, IMHO. Figure mid to high 400whp's with every modification you can think of....less a stroker kit.

If 500whp is your goal, go the safe and proven method of a TT package. Don't get me wrong, I like the vortech kit, but its going to be a bear in many many ways...to get 500whp+ out of it.

nope, right now I'm planning a small trip to GT Motorports for an FconVpro.

When I talked to Sam on the phone, he really wanted to take a look at the system because he was sure he could troubleshoot it or fab something to work so I wouldn't even have to buy the CJM twin pump system - which is obviously overkill for my fuel needs
