I didnt read the whole thread ---U blew ur A/C clutch. Remove the A/C belt and replace it when u get a new compressor---If u go to the trouble of taking it out to replace the clutch, U mite as well replace the whole Unit---It MAY have locked up and it will happen again----CHECK ALL pulleys and make sure it didnt harm them when it went flying---Go from there ----Good Luck ---This is not a big Deal probably

Don't you deal with GRD? They distribute GT Motorsports motors, pistons and/or rods or they offer motors from a local machine shop. I'd suggest you call them since you were pleased with their SC install.

Is that even possible? If I had to rebuild my engine, I would just try to maximize the power on the SC and call it a day. But if you really want this kind of power, rebuild the engine, dump the SC and get a TT setup.

and you only had the vortech for 3 months
you could always get nitrous though and use a progressive controller

lol id like the nitrous, but when i had it before the s/c i was always scared of it, if anything it damaged the motor probaly. when i went to get the s/c put in the motor did seem somewhat damaged. tons of smoke coming out every now and then, massive oil consumption etc... it would be nice to have extra power at a push , we'll see

If I were you, I would talk to your installer about your future build and options first.

that is the style of rod I would choose personally, the smoother the lines the better.

man, 125 shot is a pretty big shot on a stock block - were you using a progressive controller or was it hitting all at once?

all at once... was fun for a while, but then i put cams in and the nitrous and cams wouldnt work together..... instant pinging and detonation, 2 runs for less then 3 secs each... so sold the nitrous and rather then spend $1k on a ECU put it towards a kit.

those are fine. The eagle rods installed in other cars have taken a beating so far with like over 600whp in some cases if I recall. The arias are good pistons. Both the rods and pistons are rated to hold a crazy huge amount of power each - don't remember the exact number though
