Default Turbonetics G35 Sedan Custom Setup Pics!!

So a couple weekends ago Shaggy (SR20 stud), Reggie from Turbonetics, Johnny from Turbonetics and I installed the G35 kit on Reggie's 03 G35 sedan. some unique things about this kit. Reggie's turbo is using a water cooled bearing housing and is water cooled. This is the first Turbonetics G/Z kit to have something like this and if it works well could be a standard feature on the kits. Additionally Reggie is running an custom machined turbine housing to run an F1 Stage 5 turbine wheel. For those who don't know the F1 series of turbine wheels from Turbonetics are a newer design the spool up sooner and have increased airflow potential for reduced backpressure. Its the same turbine wheel used in the GT-K 550. He's also running one of Turbonetics new boost gauges. It is one of a series of gauges Turbonetics will be releasing soon. All of them are electronic units (including the gauge which has a 2 bar MAP sensor) and can be lit in either amber or white. His is set to amber of course. You should immediately notice the intercooler and yes that may also be available in the future. On to the pics:

What is performance difference between this setup and the base TN kit?

Nice boost gauge BTW...

nice...I saw these pics a few days ago over on G35Driver.com. It looks like Reggie likes how I mounted my boost gauge........as they say "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."

I'm fairly certain he already gave props on g35driver for the idea. Same location, different execution...

This turbocharger achieves boost threshold a bit sooner (spools up a little faster) due to the improved design on the turbine wheel. Also his turbo will run cooler but I don't have a how much cooler yet. We worked on the car late into the night and it was almost 5 AM when i left so thermal testing was the last thing on my mind. Thats something they will be measuring up there as time goes on.

The bumper was/is a G35 sedan Sport Package bumper. Reggie got a bit creative with it and what you see is the result. I like the look of it alot.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. This was a huge project for me and I wouldnt have been able to do this without the help of the whole crew. Part of the install was filmed by drifting.com. Man those damn lighting lamps are very hot and hard to work under. But overall we just took out time with the install. We are using my car to test the new water cooled bearing housing and F1 style turbine wheels. We are also testing out these new turbine housing heat shields that we have. So far so good. Our new boost gauge is bad *** too. It would definately rival a Defi gauge. We will be offering this boost gauge in the next month or so.

Like I mentioned on the g35 boards I did get the gauge location idea from Quadcam. I just decided to kick things up another notch and have a local shop custom make the pod. It came out better than expected.

ps. I cant thank everyone enough for helping out with this project (Johnny aka "China Man", Rob aka "Miaplaya" Chris aka "Shaggy" Pat aka "PMC" Steve aka "Pikachu", Ed aka "Bowser" and props to Jesse at www.turbokits.com for his support.

I will try to post some better pics this weekend.

What is he running EMS-wise? Couldn't be the same re-flash, with a different turbo and all...
