tim,

I am really interested in that catch can/ resrvoir tank setup...can you make it so that the Z engine cover still fits on?

I was just talking with Andrew about the catch can/resivoirs.We will make it so you can run you stock engine cover and like it is in the picture. We might also just do a catch can for those that dont want the whole enchilada.

About the catch can resivoir........It is made out of .120 5052 aluminum sheetmetal. There are three separate tanks which are TIG welded from the inside, which is extremely dificult. We did those so there wouldnt be visible seams on the outside. The power steering tank has a piece inside so it works like the stock unit. The oil catch can has perforated baffles inside instead of just being empty. You will have the option of recircing it or venting it to atmosphere. The coolant resivoir has a tube that runs down the inside to replicate the factory pick up point. The caps are CNC billet pieces which features two o-rings for an air tight seal. All other fittings are hidden behind or underneath the tank.Once everything is welded it gets pressure tested to insure it is leak-proof. There is alot more to this unit then you would think. Estimate cost..........3 million dollars Just kidding, we dont know yet.

We are in the process of testing this set-up. Its all new and are far as I know, the only set-up like this in existance so we are trying to get everything sorted out and working properly, dyno tested,etc.......

Wow... That looks sweet...

How efficient will the intercooler be in that orientation? Will the intake air have enough time in the intercooler to sufficiently cool the intake charge?

And why go with dual BOV's if you're using a common intercooler? wont there be a single pressure in the system, and one BOV would be sufficient to prevent surge? Or is your intercooler divided in the middle somehow?

Edit: subscribing!

Yes.This intercooler is very similiar to the APS unit which works quite well. This desing has all been used by ATI Procharger along time so it is very effective. The Spearco cores we are using are rated at more then 1000WHP.

The intercooler is divided on the inlet side to make sure each turbo's charge air is pushed though each side of the core and open on the outlet side to equalize the pressure from both turbos.A single BOV would work but we had two of everything so we figured why not use two BOVs. After alot of thought and realizing our space constraints, we decided to put both blow off valves directly onto the intercooler outlet tank. Then we are cutting two small holes in the from bumper for the BOV discharges

We are artists!!!!! Actually, function is more of a concern of ours and once we get the function part of the equation figured out......then thats when we focus on making it look pretty. So why not try to incorporate both in one package If you look at everything closely,we incorporated all the features possible.Velocity stacks in the intake manifold, incredible welding with perfect penetration in the aluminum. Everything is symetrical and both sides of the motor will flow completely evenly. We made sure to balance the airflow from each turbocharger and then to also balance the airflow inside the plenum. So now we get to see what the results are from all of our hardwork
