IM just curious on what some of you paid or what i should expect to pay to have pistons and rods put in and where you had it done and how much they charge an hour?

Ask the shop how much they charge per hour...then ask them how many hours it will take...multiply the numbers...it should give you a good estimate...

 

thats the thing they dont know how long its gunna take...they charge 55 an hour

 

Are you just changing the internals for fun? What are your plans? You can buy assembled short blocks...

i need more power i had almost a 400awhp evo 8 that i traded in for this car soo....well i had the stuff to do it but i never turned the boost up due to the clutch slipping....because of alky injection....had the clutch and all just sold it all cause i wanted something different

awd is awesome but its not half as fun as rwd

 

I also had a greddy turbo rsx-s before the evo

 

You would be better off buying a built short block IMO if you plan on going big power with twins mayby even sleeved...

actually no.. being that he is in MA... it would be in his best interest to talk to MRC

 

+1 on MRC...although it is kinda far

 

get it done right too far is never an excuse.. i am in CT.. MRC is never too far when you want something done right

 

mrc is about 4 hours from me not a big deal definatly worth the drive..ive done it before for my evo so its not a problem at all doing it for this.

 

100% customer satisfaction... gives you what you want.. not what you could have... call them up.. have a nice long chat... not what you want to hear.. then check else where

 

You can also order one of our shortblocks from Julian @ MRC if you decide to go that route.
