Thats interesting, Where is this stuff available ? Sodium Silicate used to be used to plug block cracks via the coolant.
I was staring at this TN I have on my desk this morn, thinking about this thread and was about to consider using a good coat of Anti Seize between the flanges just for the heck of it

Just a note:
I have seen many, many different variations of the sodium silicate. It seems like every different autopart store has a different variation of it.
Some white, some brown, some thin, some thick and some with powdered steel in it.
