BW is not the best track to showcase the TT 350z and G35, as we all know. But, just think about Laguna Seca and lick your chops! That is where POWER rules. All the way up from Turn 5 to the entry to the Corkscrew at Turn 8.....a 300 foot elevation climb, and then all the way down the front straight and into the Andretti Hairpin at Turn 2.......... That JWT torque will be awesome, and there is no way to deal with that but with brute power. Eleven turns, and seven of them are FAST! Just get to Laguna, and try not to smile.

I've never driven on the track, but I have been there as a spectator for dozens of races (mostly motorcycles). I can't wait until the next time attack there!

Your car is going to do great at BW Steve.

Would like to strap some Nittos and Hoosiers on the car and enter more than just the Street Class?

Awesome video, Mike. Hope you'll never need'em other than for stiffening but both cages looked solid close-up. Please share when you can about the upgraded 1K kit and best of luck.

Steve, what street rubber are you running and what sizes? Interested in your judgment and evaluation of what is best. I crammed some big Yokos on and gave them a try, but was not very satisfied with the limits. Of course I am pushing a heavy G with its full alotment of creature comforts around, so that does not help at all, but still. There has to be something better. The difference between street and DOT-R is just so pronounced.

He runs the Falkens, Azenis (front) Fr 275/30/18 and 315/30/18.

Ed, Remember they are Street tires. Not race rubber (R-compound). You are used to the Nittos man...LOL...

Michael is almost correct. I am running Falken RT-615s, 275/35-18 front, 315/30-18 rears. They are pretty good for street tires - but they are still not going to be like your R-compound tires, Ed. Grassroots Motorsports did a tire test and they won overall against any of the other street rubber (at the time). Tire technology keeps advancing though, so it is only a matter of time before something better comes out.

I am not sure that they would be any better for you than the Yokos. You're right, the G is just a heavy car. Honestly, Ed, if you are happy on the Nittos or Hoosiers, I would skip the street tires, since I think you will just not be happy with ANY street tire.

Ed, would you like to try an experiment? If you'll be at BW on Saturday, lets take one session to do a swap and you can run my Falken's and I'll run your Yokos and we can both see the difference.

That is certainly tempting, Michael!

I really don't have the room to carry so many sets of tires with me in my tow vehicle though.

Plus there's the extra entry fees for the extra classes. I'm trying to keep my "racing" costs down to "really expensive" as opposed to "exhorbitantly outrageous!"
