Default raw gas smell from Vortech?

Never heard anyone complain about this, but I get a raw gas smell from my Vortech, especially right after a hard pull. I have looked over every inch of the motor, and can't find any evidence of a leak, but the smell is there. Could this be coming from the surge valve? That's the only place I can think of that is in the intake path that is open to the atmosphere.

It could be a leak that only shows up under higher fuel preasures .

Since gas can evaporate quickly, you really need to check all the fuel connections, especially the one that comes off the stock line. That point is prone to leaking, especially with the retarded clamps that Vortech gives you.

+1, check your fuel lines under the car. When I first got it installed, my fuel line came apart at the clamp and spilled fuel all over the ground.

check all fuel lines to the booster pump and the connections on the frame to the factory lines.

Just got back from vacation, and have some more info. My fuel pressure shows around 60 under normal driving, but when I get on the boost, it starts to creep up (fine), then totally pegs the guage (my guage reads up to 100psi)! Seems like the fuel pressure is not being controlled properly. With that much pressure I am sure there is a leak somewhere.

I'll have to take the car in to get the fuel system checked out. Hopefully that will fix the issue.
