Performance Factory does TN ST kit, no bs corrections...

hey guys, first of all would like to welcome my new tech AJ to the permanent Performance Factory team. we have been staying very very busy here in Orlando working on lots of cars. AJ already had a TN ST kit that he had purchased right before starting. we decided to do a few things to the kit and make it better aiming solely on performance down the real world quarter mile track. we dont care about numbers, just showing that TN ST can make power for all the people that are ragging on the kit. this is all on a bone stock motor, he really doesnt have ANYthing done to it but the kit. we threw the TN wastegate in the trash, added a 38 mm Tial, 50 mm tial BOV, open dump tube and thats it. also tweaked a few items like the maf housing/intake tube connection.
when we finished the kit the first day, i threw it on the dyno for a few minutes to set it up safe and let him go. it was a long long day trying to get all the custom stuff done. last night we threw it back on the dyno, you can see the before and after graphs, all done on 93 octane. with the first graph, he ran 12.0 at 116. sooo... we will let you know friday how he does.
we couldnt get the utec boost controller to hold more than 9.9 psi, thats what this run is at, this was after 26 constant back to back pulls, anyone that tunes will know that it would put down better cold numbers, i just like the added power. i havent had time to tune part throttle and under 3000 rpms, i just didnt have time, it gets really rich in one spot so it drops down. the tune was good till i had to alter some mapping points that changed it all.
Thanks guys!! before anyone says, well this place made 550+ on stock motor and blah blah blah, this car trapped 116 with 355 and you can see the difference, we dont care about dyno numbers, just the difference between the two

So why do you think it still has a power drop after 6000rpms after the wastegate swap and other little mods? Turbo size maybe a factor? Seems to me like it's spooling nice and early and getting a nice peak torque number and then running out of breath on the top end. Was there any boost drop?
yeah guys, we got some knock up top when we tried to keep the boost really straight, so we had to knock it down and take some timing out, thats why it drops off so bad, we really didnt have time to fully fine tune it all, we will soon. just trying to figure out the utec boost solenoid really . on just the wastegate, it holds the boost out just fine and doesnt get all jumpy like the TN WGs do. we will throw some C16 in there soon and see what it will do...

yeah guys, we hit that on the dyno the other night, we couldnt figure out this issue that we were having with it only allowing the utec boost control solenoid to make 9.9 psi no matter how much we turned it up.
well on the street it makes 10.5 pounds in fourth and fifth gear so that throws it up in the 90 % load column and i have that set up very very rich cause i couldnt get there on the dyno yet.
sooooo went to the track tonight, car went 11.77 11.78 and 11.83 all around 115, it is trapping 93 at the 1/8th BUT in fourth gear, it is hitting that rich load site that i couldnt tune on the dyno so the car is running in the low 10s AFR and only picking up 22 in the top 1/8th where it normally picks up 25. i tried to bring the laptop to tune it at the track but i forgot the usb cable damnit!!
next wed will be much much better!!
