My SGP experience

Glad you got it all straightened out Gman. I had a horrible expereince with them also, and ended up having to drive to see Shariff to fix everything. I chose not to make a thread or any type of negative post, because it seems like there are too many dickswingers of Mark on here. For every 5 bad things youll have 2 good ones and it is like you have no credibility. I knew it was a matter of time before more people spoke up. Sorry you had to waste money like I did also, but at least you are past it now, and can move forward.

Man I am glad you are posting and that your car is fixed now. Someone else just pm me with a bad experience although he did say SGP made it right. He is also local though. I won't bash a shop if they *** something up as long as they fix their wrong. I think I gave them enough time to make up for it. It's been over a year now. Mark never even emailed me or called me to keep me updated on the status of the plenum after he offered last March. I have been the one emailing, pm, and calling him. After today's call I got fed up. He can keep his chit. I don't want it. If I did I would have bought it. I don't need anyone's charity.

Man there are alot of shops out there that will jerk you around... thats bull chit that most likely there are 3-5 shops in the US that you can actually trust with your car other than that i dont give a *** who you are i wont take my car to you.... to many people have had bad experiences like GMan chit when you spend this much money and get nothing for it all you want to do is SUE. At least i know where im not going next.

Sorry about your misfortune Gman. Glad to know everything is working for you now. Just one question, did you notice your car wasnt running right, after Mark came down to install your Vpro?

it seems Mark has been viewing this thread so it will only be a matter of time before he posts a reply. I am hoping Sam will post as well so he can explain what he had to fix on my car to get it out of jalopy mode.

That sucks - I hate hearing about bad experiences with shops.
I just wanted to chime in about the Fcon in relation to idle and such. My car was tuned last fall with Fcon. The runs 100% perfect at cruise, cold start, WOT. However, after a hard run, or a restart after the car is warm, the car would have an insanely loppy idle, to the point the car would kill sometimgs - this was not on every restart nor following every hard run - AFRs were around 14.7 at idle. I have since removed the recirc hose from the BOV and capped the intake letting the BOV vent completely to atmosphere. I have no idle issues at all anymore. Just letting anyone that might have a similar issue to mine.
Gman, glad you got things worked out. I remember your original build as it was shortly before mine. Back in the day, not much was available, heck, when my shortblock went together there were no aftermarket HG beyond cometic which were the equavalent of OEM. No head studs other than standard ARP, no L19s or 1/2". Eagle rods had just been released; I hadn't heard of anyone running them before I put them in my car. And then the engine managements. Utec was a pipe dream, Fcon wasn't even being discussed yet, and unichip and emanage blue and ultimate were basically all we had.
Part of being the one of the orginals meant some growing pains, but your situation is more than that. I feel your pain and am happy you are up and running properly now

hey my friend and i just had mark out here this week, honestly you would've had an easier time trying to talk to someone else other than mark. he's very busy and their shop has like 50 cars outside the shop almost at all times. i have had a terrible experience here in arizona with a local shop who did the install but at the same mark has helped me out a TON!!! my car is leaving tomorrow for SGP for some minor touch-ups and certain other things he just couldn't do out here. one thing to look at is i have a brian crower stroked 4.15L engine and built from top to bottom, i have had mad troubles with my throttle body assembly (went through two TB's in 36 hours) and this was creating havoc during idle and all around response. apparently our TB's are pretty ****ty and we need to upgrade them to a cable-operated TB so definitely have Sam try to check that out at least and make sure everything else is running correctly. you can't please everyone obviously but you hate to see these bad things happen. i hope you're experience hasn't driven you just to sharif or sam, there is still hope my son! everyone has heard stories about every shop and tuner so just keep that in mind as well. it really sux cuz mark said they will rarely get on here and post so you won't find too much support from them on this website i don't believe. glad your car is running 100% and hope all keeps going well, i have been watching (not in a creepy way) your car throughout the last two years and i'm sorry it took so long for everything to pan out man...i'll be at SGP in a couple weeks to pick up my car at about 650whp

How do you know, if someone is viewing your thread or not?
