Custom Turbo Set up?

I guess im finding out why im more attracted to the supra (please dont hurt me)
there are just so many parts available
with the Z were still waiting on the twin turbo kit for the 07. Point being, the Z is still newER to the public than a supra.

Yea, that would be a huge difference. Car that was out since 93 vs. 03. Thats a lot of time. Still cant deny the fact of how amazing a Supra is nonetheless.
Also, if you read the thread I had linked, there was a lot of useful info. in that thread as well. We even started to discuss what types of manifolds, and the placement of the turbo. It started getting really good. Its just the overall cost, to me, couldnt be justifited.
Also like previously stated, Im a good DIY'er but not the best fabricator. 2 different things!

We have built two custom single turbo kits for the Z. The easiest way is to remove the fiberglass radiator support and make it out of steel or aluminum. It give you a lot more room and easier to work on the engine bay as you can remove the radiator, intercooler, etc. quickly. The first kit we did about a year and a half ago definitely taught us a lot and we spent a considerable amount of money refitting, retesting, etc. The car made 680rwhp (Dyno Dynamics) at low boost off a single turbo. The second kit, which is finishing up this week, should push the limits of the VQ. It is the same turbo we run on our 94 Toyota Supra.

I think that the statement about JUN and Injected defeats the purpose though. You are talking about big time companies who pay their in house fabricators the same amount of money no matter what project they are working on. For them doing something like that is still no minor task and that is all they do for a living. It is somewhat hard to compare a company to a privateer in terms of capability in most cases.
Never seen the kit, but I guess there are only so many different ways you can do a single turbo with the room in engine bay.

Low boost for us was 23psi. The GT42 is not in its efficiency range until 25-40psi. We have pulled the entire kit off the car and I planned on selling it but haven't posted it or really taken up close pictures of it. We tried to do the first kit very simple and straight forward. It uses a cross over pipe that goes under the transmission with off the shelf modified headers and we are running a 3.5" DP/MP with electric cutout. The new kit is crazy and should be running next week if we have time.
To sell the kit, we of course would lose quite a bit with the time we have invested in it, but if someone is interested I would be willing to sell the kit and/or MAYBE part it out.
