Thanks for the kind words everyone. Like I have mentioned a few times before, the brakes had felt kind of mushy all day and a little the day before. We're thinking it was just air in the brake system which SUCKS ***. I'm talking to my insurance today, the guy I deal with is cool, so I'll be able to talk to him "off the record" and see if the raise in my insurance over the next 3 years will be less than me paying for all the parts I need.

I'm going to ZdayZ for sure, I'll be riding with BuzzardMountain AKA Robin.

Air in the system? Make sure your master cylinder and your break lines to see if they are leaking. And if your brakes fail you always have a parking brake!!!!

Sorry to hear about your bad luck with the brakes. Fortunately, you and your passenger seem to have survived well. That's good news.

Be careful driving it after you get her running again. Is there some kind of brake expert you could have test things out before you drive it again.
