That's an EASY mark with a proper setup on a Garrett 3582R. Biggest concerns are fuel and ems. But even the TT guys have to properly address those areas to hit big numbers.

Just food for thought.
You are leaving out the fact that if he attempts to run that turbo, he will likely have issues with backpressure tryng to make any decent amount of power. he will be very limited with the exhaust dump off the turbo. to get into the 500's on a single, I would think you would need at least a 3" dump off the turbo

If I do the GT35 I will try to fit the largest pipe possible and dump it asap. I like the Jun 350Z fender exhausts and am looking into something like that.

If you have a shop that can do it, go for it. that said, I think you will have a hard time even fabbing up a 3" pipe and still not have enough flow. On top of that, cramming in the bigger pipe will probably only lead to more heat issues, melting lines, etc when you go for more power.

Like on the SR20's in the older B13's, I believe that a pipe that goes about .5" higher than the bottom of the oil pan should be sufficient. Have a small angle at the end, voila.

Nothing's going to be easy or cheap. Custom kits are expensive no matter which way you go and you're going to have to address more problems the higher you go in whp...

Patience, money, and time cure all related woes

I don't think it'll be a difficult as everyone makes it out to be.
