Default Vortech; Taking Blower Off Need Help

Going to be sending off the blower tomarrow for repair and I heard there is a way to make the car still drivable. I know I need to block the oil feed lines and also fab a air filter to the intercooler pipe. Anyone have more detailed info and or hints to do this? Thanks

What I do is , take out the whole oil squirter and just put in inside the oil return hose and clamp it down with the clamp thats on the hose . Easy as pie . I use a furnace filter and cut a square out of it and clamp it over the end of the MAF section of IC pipe . This way you dont have to suck air thru the IC and all the pipes .
Miight want to reset the ECU so it will run and idle better also .

Stay off the gas pedal as much as possible . Depending on how high your fuel pressure is to start with , that will make a difference on how rich it will run . The lower the better !

it is drivable but remember your going to be adding allot of fuel around 3k and higher so I would drive it at low rpms,. nothing wrong with being rich

"I use a furnace filter and cut a square out of it and clamp it over the end of the MAF"

Any concern with the filter being sucked into the intake??

Just to give you an heads up....when you get the blower back from Vortech make sure that you do NOT over tighten the oil feed nozzle or else it will break in half.

Just a little hint . Take out the oil squirter when you send the blower in . They will put a new one in the blower before they send it back . They have on mine several times now .
