Post Building motor for TT

Making my G35 a summer project for 450-480HP daily driver. Cant choose over APS TT or JWT TT thinking about purchasing a short block from http://turbokits.com/g35_turbo_kits.html the Desc: 3.5L - 3.7L Built VQ Block for $4495.00. Rather do it right the first time and not have a BLOWN my motor...
Once motor is built... I shouldn't have no worry about problems right ?

We have several vendors here who contribute greatly to the forum that member here choose to do business with. We have several vendors offering built motors. I had my motor built by Sam @ GT Motorsports. I am sure our vendors prices are as good or better.

For the price of a Greddy TT it would be hard to choose any other kit. The Greddy with FMIC goes for around $5600. You can add a UTEC for about $900 and sell the E-manage Blue that comes with the Greddy kit for $200. That is a perfect setup.

Once the motor is built "correctly" and you have a good tune, and have a wideband air fuel ration gauge you will have no problems. Several member have had motors built incorectly go bad on them.

If you are building your motor first why not go with greddy or aps tt if I could do it again I would have bought the built motor First then later bought a turbo kit save money that way but oh well.

Bought my built block from Kyle at Import Parts Pro. Very easy to do business with, and very reasonable pricing. Got me my engine in 2 weeks. Lots of great vendors. Choose wisely Grasshopper!

Please elaborate on 'only shop' as my motor was built in house by another shop in the US

As far as I know, everyone sends out there engines to be machined, we do EVERYTHING in house and the engine never leaves our facility, where was your motor built?

I am sure the machine work was outsourced on my motor - regardless, it all comes down to a finished product. What is the average turnaround for a motor build from GTM???

I think they usually quote weeks, but it's closer to months... GTM does everything in house, and they do great work, but you've got to really want it and be willing to wait for it.
